Notes
Part of the Dragon Tamer set.

This weapon boasts the third highest average damage per shot in the game (550), behind the Blade of Ages (1000) and Void Blade (650).

As of the current build, this is the only sword that can pierce enemies.

Despite the ridiculous damage per shot and piercing ability, its terrible fire rate means its DPS is very low against single targets. Like other slow-firing weapons like the Doom Bow and the A.S.S., it is particularly effective on enemies with high defense. However, Oryx’s Greatsword will always outdamage this sword against one target, despite the Greatsword lacking piercing and having a 2.8 tile range.

This is still a very situational sword due to its slow rate of fire. It’s only really worthwhile to use this sword if you can consistently hit more than one enemy with each shot.

When the entire Dragon Tamer set is equipped, the weapon projectile changes to:
Dragon Arrow

History:
This item used to drop in a white bag before the addition of orange bags in Patch X.18.0 Halloween Madness.

In Patch X.31.8.0, the stats of this item were changed. The damage was originally 566-650 (608 average), with a range of 3.5 tiles, a projectile speed of 7 t/s, a rate of fire of 25%, and -10 DEF on equip.

Trivia:
“Indomptable” is the French word for “indomitable” (pronounced “on-doom-tawb-le”), meaning “impossible to subdue/defeat”.
