This star sacrifices quite a bit of damage and range for piercing. Because of this, it is not as practical as a tiered star. However, it can be useful when it is difficult to directly hit a specific target, like in the Wine Cellar, Cube God, Skull Shrine, Septavius’ first phase, and clearing dungeon minions, similarly to a quiver, keep in mind it is still an abominable star and still has basically no real usage overall.
Its name roughly translates to “Shadow Star” in Japanese. (影星)
