Behavior

3 Killer Bee Nests will be spawned by the Killer Bee Queen during one of her last phases. Each one will fire radial bursts of a single color of Hive Shots, so that there is 1 Nest per color. While they do this, the Nests will flash and grow at a rapid pace while spawning Small Worker Bees.

The Nests have periods of invulnerability every few seconds, and although they have very high max HP (400k each), they can be killed before the next phase. Only a fraction of their HP needs to be depleted before they are destroyed and their sprite changes to the corpse.

After approximately 30 seconds, the Nests will break open and each will spawn a respectively-colored Adolescent Beehemoth. The destroyed nests will continue to fire radial bursts of respectively-colored balls until the Queen is dead.

The Nests have unique behavior if destroyed prematurely.

If one is destroyed, one of the two surviving nests will spawn an additional Adolescent Beehemoth to make up for the one that no longer can spawn.
If two are destroyed, the phase ends prematurely and the remaining one will spawn 3 of the same kind of Adolescent Beehemoth. Note that their corpses will still fire shots during the next phases.
