Mystery Keys were originally introduced in the Kabam era in 3 versions: Emerald, Ruby, and Diamond. Unlike the current Mystery Keys, these would open the portal to a random dungeon when used instead of turning into a random key. The Emerald Mystery Key was the only one to be released, and could previously be obtained as a reward from The Alchemist. It is currently unobtainable but has not been removed from the game. The Ruby Mystery Key and the Diamond Mystery Key have never been released, and it was thought that Ruby and Diamond keys would open more valuable dungeons.
