You hive got to bee kidding me.

The Queen Bee is the boss of The Hive.

The Realm Eye says:
The Queen Bee is a magical matriarch who commands a hive’s society with the Mellis Regalia, a set consisting of a royal scepter and orb.
Under threat of annihilation from Oryx, she had transformed her colony from a simple hive to a honey mine that works nonstop to provide mead for him.

Behavior

Stinger Phase

The Queen Bee will start off in this phase. It will first attack by releasing 8 Stinger shots in a circular pattern originating from itself. Then, it will throw a Red Bomb, followed by another circle of 8 Stinger shots.
Then, it will stop shooting for a few seconds and start flashing green. During this time, it will have the Armored status effect, making player attacks do less damage. It will then transition to the next phase.

Daze Phase

The Queen Bee will then start rapidly shooting bursts of 3 Honey Daze shots, as well as throw another Red Bomb. After some time, as before, it will stop shooting and start flashing green while being Armored. It will then transition back to the Stinger phase, and the cycle will repeat.

During both phases, the Queen Bee will spawn Maggot Eggs.

Tips and Strategies

For the boss fight, if you are a ranged character, just stay back and snipe from afar. Overall it is a fairly easy fight. If you are a melee, there is nothing to really worry about aside from the dazing shots. Just try not to sit on her. These are really just a minor inconvenience. Try to kill the fat angry bees as quickly as possible. Their bleeding debuff is the most worrisome part of this fight.
