Realm gold is the premium currency in Realm of the Mad God that is primarily obtained by purchase using real-life money, though can also be obtained in set amounts via Kabam Rewards – a program which rewards players for playing via Kabam’s website. Realm gold is not trade-able and is used to purchase Dungeon Keys, Pets, Dyes/Clothes, as well as certain weapons, abilities, armors, and rings. As of build 12.0.0, weapons through T12, T4/5 abilities, armors through T13, and T5 (exalted) rings are available for purchase in the nexus. Each account starts with 40 realm gold to spend. Certain weapons are worth 51 gold to prevent multiple accounts buying these weapons and selling them without having to work for them.
