With the recent update to the Wisdom stat for Priest, changes to the Wands category of weapons include a shortening of range on all other wands (except the Spicy Wand of Spice). This, as a result, gives the St. Abraham’s Wand a special use: It has the longest range of any weapon in the game.

The only really good use of the St. Abraham’s Wand is on the first boss in the Mad Lab as it is the only boss that you can really potshot at with the St. Abraham’s Wand without activating it first. By using the St. Abraham’s Wand in this case, it will be a safer and easier battle without having to chase the boss around and have the chance of dying.
