Slowly wanders around, protecting Stheno and firing slow shots at the nearest player.
After Stheno transitions from her swarm phase, these enemies will despawn.

Stheno will endlessly spawn those things and they naturally despawn after a while. Unless you have a piercing weapon to hit Stheno herself, shooting at the swarm isn’t of much use.
All shots are aimed at you, even Stheno’s own when this phase occurs, so slow circling of the swarm will help reduce damage significantly. If it’s too much for you, go hide behind a wall and wait for the phase to end.
