Notes
The Forgotten Crown, or more commonly referred to as Crown, is tied with the Magical Lodestone for the highest DPS-increasing ring, with both providing a large +12 to offensive stats. The crown also offers a good amount of HP and is a direct upgrade from the Captain’s Ring.

The crown is a excellent choice for any class, as its even boost to ATK and DEX gives all classes a relatively uniform DPS boost, and the +110 HP bonus on top of that allows the wearer to still maintain a good level of survivability.

However, classes with wismod or otherwise use their ability often, like Sorcerers, Necromancers, Paladins, or Priests may find better general use in a ring that boosts WIS or MP, like a Bloodshed Ring, Sourcestone, or Divine Coronation.

Additionally, players with access to Oryx’s Sanctuary may find some of the rings dropped there to be situationally stronger than the crown:

  • The Collector’s Monocle is a straight upgrade to the crown on a Rogue, offering an additional 30 HP and an unbeatable +20 to offensive stats when invisible, which on a T7 cloak works out to be ~85% uptime.

  • The Chancellor’s Cranium may be more useful to robe classes with no wismod, like the Wizard or Bard. It adds an additional 10 HP and 6 DEF compared to the crown, and while it only offers 3 DEX in offensive stats, its special ability can potentially make up that damage lost in a unique way.

  • The Exalted God’s Horn is an upgrade from the crown on many classes, offering an additional 30 HP and 5 DEF, as well as a powerful passive ability that grants +10 DEX when above 90% HP. Low DEX classes like Knight, Warrior, Archer, Huntress, Samurai, and potentially even Priest and Paladin may find equivalent or better DPS boosts alongside even stronger defensive bonuses, and other non-dagger classes may find the additional survivability worth the offensive stat tradeoff.

Nonetheless, the crown remains as one of the most sought after rings in the game due to its great balance of DPS boosting and survivability, and isn’t a bad choice for any class to wear.
