How to find the Woodland Labyrinth

Great Owl
The Woodland Labyrinth is guaranteed to drop from the Great Owl, a rare enemy found within the Mountains.

The Woodland Labyrinth Key (Woodland Labyrinth Key) can also be purchased in the Nexus for 100 Realm Gold.

Finding the Woodland Labyrinth quickly and efficiently can be achieved through finding a semi-empty Realm and running around the Mountains until a Great Owl is spotted. This task is best performed on fast and/or resilient classes such as Warrior, Rogue or Ninja. However be sure to tread carefully, as minor god walls can still form.

Loot and Purpose

Leaf Bow
The Leaf Bow is a mid-to-late game single shot bow, possessing a high DPS and a +5 Speed stat bonus, it can be utilised well into endgame content. The shots of this bow do not pierce, unlike tiered bows, making it situational in its use, however it remains a strong pick due to the ease of obtaining and high DPS.

Wakizashi of Eastern Winds
The Wakizashi of Eastern Winds is a strong wakizashi which holds the longest Grey Down Arrow Exposed time at 4.5 seconds, making it the best at upkeeping a consistent expose on enemies.

Labyrinth Dweller's Sheath
The Labyrinth Dweller’s Sheath sacrifices its damage output in exchange for increased Speed through its stats and stacks, making it the best option for rushing through dungeons as fast as possible.

Woodland Huntress Skin
The Woodland Huntress Skin is the rarest drop within the dungeon; due to it being unable to be bought with Realm Gold and paired with its Soulbound Soulbound status, this skin remains highly sought after.

Potion of LifeGreater Potion of AttackGreater Potion of Vitality
The Woodland Labyrinth is guaranteed to drop both Greater Potions of Attack and Vitality for two players and has a chance to drop a Potion of Life. Making it one of the least challenging dungeons with a Potion of Life in its drop table.

Layout and Navigation Throughout the Dungeon

The corridors between rooms are hidden by overhanging trees, forcing the player to experiment with pathing options, however most often you can see a the adjoining rooms before too much trial and error is necessary. Tricksters excel when rushing the dungeon because they can teleport across blocked paths and reach the boss room very quickly as a result.

While navigating through the dungeon, be careful and try to dodge the turrets’ bullets; they can inflict Paralyzed Icon Paralyzed, Silenced Silenced and Weak Icon Weak, depending on the type of turret. Being Paralyzed Icon Paralyzed is the most threatening debuff in this dungeon due to the high damaging enemies present in almost every room. It is also worth noting that enemies can hide within the covered corridors between rooms, rendering them practically invisible except for their dots on the minimap.

Boss Phases

Megamoth Larva

Megamoth Larva

The Megamoth Larva is the first and easiest phase. If you are within range, it will start chasing you whilst alternating between two attack patterns:

  • Firing radial bursts of green spirals that inflict Skull Sick.
  • Firing a 3-armed spiral of blue missiles, alongside smaller shotguns of green Skull Sick spirals.
  • After a certain amount of time (or if sufficient damage is dealt), it will move to the centre of the room, activating its special attack; throwing bombs that spawn Puke Water tiles over the centre of the arena, which last until the end of the fight.

When the boss begins flashing and moving to the centre of the arena, this is the sign that it is about to change phases. Ensure you keep your distance from it for maximum survivability.

    Mammoth Megamoth

    Mammoth Megamoth

This phase is more challenging than the first. After it finishes flashing red, it will spawn a number of Micro Megamoth Sentinels which inflict Swirl Confused. It is well worth avoiding shots from these enemies.

The boss alternates between two attack patterns:

  • Flies between the corners of the room while leaving behind a trail of Stunning green crescents. Upon reaching a corner, it will briefly circle in place and fire two bursts of green bolts that converge in front of it.
  • Flies around the room’s edge, firing barrages of Stunning green crescents roughly perpendicular to its movement.
  • Strafe to dodge the converging shots, and keep in front of its movement whilst it is circling to avoid taking any damage.

When the boss activates its special attack, it moves toward the centre of the room before firing a barrage of shots alternating between the cardinal and diagonal directions. These cover the entire arena, so ensure you remain diagonal to the boss so you can easily strafe between the barrages.

    Murderous Megamoth

    Murderous Megamoth

This is the final phase of the Megamoth. All existing minions evolve into Micro Megamoth Guardians, which inflict Red Down Arrow Slowed. Again, avoid these shots, as getting Red Down Arrow Slowed increases the likelihood of the boss catching up with and sitting on top of you.

The boss alternates between two attack patterns:

  • Slowly chases players, firing aimed shotguns of returning, green bolts which inflict Word Bubble Quiet alongside streams of yellow spinners perpendicular to its movement. The yellow spinners will abruptly decelerate and stagnate after travelling a certain distance, becoming stationary hazards.
  • Repeatedly lunges at players at fast speeds, while firing 4-way shotguns of green crescents that inflict high armor-piercing damage. It will also frequently release parametric pink glaives (although these are less threatening).
  • It is vital to keep actively moving around the arena and never stand still during this phase, due to the lunging attack pattern and the necessity of dodging lingering shots. Remaining along the edges of the arena will increase your chances of surviving the rest of the fight.

When activating its special attack, it will move towards the center of the room and start flashing red, then proceeds to fly in circles around the map, leaving behind a large number of leaf projectiles that linger for 10 seconds. Dodging these extremely high damage (220) projectiles is vital. Getting sat on by the boss spells instant death, so do not remain directly in front of its travel path.

    Treasure Room

    Swarm Tree

    Swarm Tree

The Swarm Tree is found in a secret room within the Woodland Labyrinth, identified by its entrance being a longer-than-usual corridor. It is initally defended by a variety of enemies that can be cleared first before engaging the tree.

Once attacked, it will begin lobbing green bombs in groups of three, and will lob one at the player if they are far away from the tree. It is important to keep moving in order to dodge the bombs. It will also occasionally fire a short radial burst of projectiles that can kill or severly injure you if you’re within range, but you should be fine as long as you aren’t too close to the tree. The most dangerous attack of the Swarm Tree, though, is when it spawns rings of stars around it. It will initally be green and deal no damage, but after a few seconds, will turn pink, deal 200 damage and inflict Blood Drop Bleeding. Keep a look out for the green stars and stay out of it before it turns pink, and you should be alright.

In other words, to defeat the Swarm Tree, you must keep moving at all times. This ensures that you will be able to dodge the highly-damaging stars and bombs. When it dies, it will spawn a number of Micro Megamoth Sentinels, so clear them first before collecting your loot.
