Fame question ['Friend of the Cubes' Bonus]

I am just wondering if my pet has electric and it kills a cube, does it affect my fame bonus?

Also, if someone kills a cube around you and you gain Exp or Fame from it, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t count either.
