My meaningful posts on the ForumBeta in order to situate the “best class” thread in my opinion:

The most versatile yet playable character. What I mean is: What is the easiest class to start a PPE with? That's what defines the best class however. I'd say wizard, but I feel like either knight, warrior, or sorcerer have a chance.

It's all relative to a person's playing style, but I'm saying toward the general RotMG population. I'm not trying to downplay the balanced classes, but there's some that are easier to build off from nothing and are just slightly better than the rest.

With skill, not necessarily does one have to keep getting beaten 100% but that is agreeable. There are some however that have styles that do not have supreme limitation when building from scratch such as the wizard. PPE in my terms is "from scratch" so from T0 gear and not trading up via another person. Basically playing isolated from other people while competing for loot against them, if that makes sense. I agree on the abyss, but that's one dungeon. Archer sucks in most of the higher-tier dungeons (Oryx's Castle Group, Trench, pretty much any high-def or high-bullet dungeon) as well as the fact that it's slower on most bosses without proper UT bows (from scratch, that may take an immensely long time). I was using only those two because wizzy was already mentioned and you brought up archer. I'd also support the knight and warrior to be among the top classes with wizzy although with slightly less mobility when we look at all dungeons. In those high-def areas, all melees in general have the dominance in them, yet with that comes the difficulty in many dungeons where range is essential such as tomb or WC. Besides the common 8 stats that realm has, it would be interesting to add more stats. One such stat could be Tenacity. Tenacity could be the ability to recover from debuffs and other effects in a certain period of time. I feel that DECA could add a generic quest MMO system like many other games have. Since currently, quests only lead you to a boss relative to your level, they should also give out T9 weapons, T4 abilities, T10 armor and T4 rings. Obviously not the sub-level 20 quests, but quests like Ent Ancients, Ghost Kings, and Liches. In many cases, I see new players using low tiered items, and in many circumstances, potions wouldn’t help them.

In my opinion, pixie is bad on anything except an ogmur knight and warrior. Pirate cutlass is so unbelievably shit, there is no reason to EVER use it over an acclaim
