Hmmm…perhaps these were beta versions of the Quest Chests? Like, consumable bags that would grant an item of some sort?

From what I found, there are only sprites of the goodie bags at the moment, which come from the testing build. Obviously they serve some purpose, but there isn’t anything online that I could find about that. My guess is that it’s similar to something like what @Seelpit said, but they most definitely were not quest chests, as the chest sprites were also found in the files.
TL;DR
Goodie Bag sprites have shown up in test files but not in game yet, no other info besides sprites
