Is there any way to get desktop notifications for new topics

Just setting a category to watching first post doesnt work.

Setting the whole category to Watched should do it.

However it doesn’t send a New Topic notification if the thread is created elsewhere and then moved into one of your chosen categories, because the New Topic has already been triggered.

Unfortunatly setting a category to watching makes the topics in it set themselves to watching each time there is a new post, even if I manually set them to tracking.

Ugh, no wonder I never get notified for announcements, we need to get BMJ in here to make Discobot auto-post Deca messages so @Niegil doesn’t snipe all dem likes.

i have a bot with desktop notifications for any new post (on reddit), not just Deca skrub
