On steam it said that ive played for 340hr
On realmeye it said that ive only played for 166hr 39m
Do any of yall know why is there a huge difference and ive nvr afk in rotmg home screen for long

my theory
i think it’s realmeye that isn’t accurate because the bots are only in nexus and can only see you in nexus so if you afk in vault then the realmeye bots will pass you off as offline?

I think I know what it is: The time between them, your difference if you will, is how long you have been playing on your living characters, realmeye tracks your dead play time

I’m pretty sure it’s the way that active time is defined.
Active time is only counted when you are actively killing enemies. So I believe that even if you’re flouncing about in the Realm, perhaps rushing to godlands or meandering about a UDL, it doesn’t count.
Of course, vaulting/trading doesn’t count either, nor does AFK time, while Steam counts it all.
Edit: Does anyone know exactly how active time is calculated?
I.e. You must have killed an enemy in the last x minutes in order to count the time has active time.
