Why do people hate the idea of a UT weekend so much?

Uhuh. I’m going to have to write a generic post that I can copy paste on why UT weekend is a TERRIBLE idea.

Let’s start with this:

Dupers - there are tons of duped UTs out there just waiting to be released. Do you really want to give the dupers the satisfaction of being able to trade them for in game items that they can then use to sell back to people for real money? You will effectively be taking currency out of circulation in realm, thus hindering the economy.

Risk/Reward - If every blue star can suddenly buy a Jugg, don’t you think that will make getting a Jugg from Hermit extremely… unrewarding? Why would I even go hunt herms when I know I have 50 Juggs that I bought during UT weekend. Event whites are a fundamental part of this game. If everyone had access to them, there would be much less reason to play the game.

Deca Profit Loss - Nexus tops for gold is a very small portion of DECA’s revenue. That being said, why would anyone think about buying tops when they have all the UTs they could possibly want?

When does it end? - So they add another UT weekend. What happens when a year from now you have died with all your UTs. I bet you will want another UT weekend. So now we start the whole cycle of ruining the in-game economy just because you didn’t want to take the time to go farm like everyone else.

RWT - so UTs are now tradable, even if it is just for a weekend. How many kids are going to go out and drop real money on the game and 3rd party websites so they can get the best stuff in the game? Now that annoying 8 year old that always talks crap to you in guild chat can be like, “Hey look at me, I’ve got an A.S.S. Jugg Fireplate Crown warrior you noob.” Why do you want to encourage that kind of garbage?

Previously existing UTs - so now everyone has an Oreo. I guess that really sucks for all the people that already had Oreos. It used to be a status symbol. Now there are tens of thousands of Oreos out there. Fun stuff.

In-Game Mechanics - so now every kid on the block has an Ogmur. Have fun getting soulbound damage in on everything now that archers with their coverts rule the world. That’s right. Covert damage is pretty damn good when you are guaranteed to have an Ogmur at every single world event.

World Events - speaking of world events, why bother doing them? You just bought all your UTs on UT weekend anyway. Congratulations on making 30% of the game completely useless.

Dungeons - That same thing applies to dungeons. I’ve got all the whites from every event ever. Why would I run dungeons like sewers anymore when I can just get pots from abby. Why bother with LoD or Shaitans or Ice cave at all? After all, all you want is to get pots now since you already have all the UTS want. You can just stick with doing the easiest dungeons to get your pots. Who needs shatters when you have Oryx for tops, tombs for life, and ocean trench for mana. Who needs cem when you have snake pit for speed, udl for wis, sprite for dex, and abby for vit. Welp, I guess that’s another 20% of the game that is pretty useless. Congratz.

n************** didn’t close because of duping and p**** was kind of a shit server in general it had like 2 custom items the rest where taken from the db and i don’t even know how duping would be a problem in a server like that when you can get the most expensive item after about 20 minutes of playing and that’s excluding yourself from any way duping could be effected by it basically you can get it without buying it on the marketplace, rwt ing and anything of that sort.

Main reason they made UTs soulbound was cuz duping and don’t want it to screw up in-game economy. I started playing this game about 5 years ago so I still remember the times UTs were tradable and merching was way more fun/rewarding back then. I would like there to be a UT unnsoulbound weekend/UTs permanently unsoulbound, but since duping is such a huge issue I think its better for it to remain the way it is now. As much as I want UTs to be tradeable again I’d rather not fuck the game over for it. So hopefully sometime in the distant future when duping is solved/more stable in-game economy I would hope to see it once more.

I would just save up and buy Hivemaster, then I would by Dblade, and Crown, and FDBA, and then i would use potting characters to max him and solo a Ddocks, then, I COULD SAY I SOLOED A DDOCKS

ddocks are just boring to solo a fun one to solo is a nest or whatever drops the hivemaster helm you speak of also im pretty sure that helmet isnt really that good? ive used it on a testing server before and it doesn’t seem to do much.

seems like if you get a curse off it’s a really good dps helm. It’s weird though even though they both give berserk for 6 seconds and that it for damage the bee helm still has lower helm dps even though they legit do the same function except for the bee helms shoots bees out which i don’t think they actually deal damage it’s really weird.

the first is no curse the second is curse.
