Changed the UT Sprites. I need more input on the ability though. Any veterans who could point me towards the problems it might have?
[Class Idea] Ronin - The Binding Katana
Alright, if I may have a piece of the veteransā wisdoms, please do give me, @Atrapper, @IVector, @Cenamuch, and @IBurnYou.
Honorable mentions goes to @Xaklor who has already expressed that if heās not interested, he say anything and @Scorchmist who has given me some insight on how to explain the ability better.
The ability seems kind of complex. Thatās not necessarily a bad thing, but it doesnāt exactly fit with other abilities in the game.
That said, itās a really unique ability and I would love to play this class if it were in the game.
For the sprites, the animation looks kind of weird. Why not just use a normal Ninja-like attack animation? Again, I like the sprite, but it just seems a bit off. The scrolls look fine, though.
I know Iām nit-picking at this point, but isnāt Daichi one singular name, rather than 2 names consecutive ones?
Overall, itās a creative idea, and with some work, this could be very good.

Is that the full name of the class? Because you canāt have Archer, Ninja, Wizard, Knight, and then āRonin, the Binding Katanaā. But I guess āRoninā will be the name of this class then. Just FYI, a Ronin is basically a samurai without a lord, so this is similar to another Samurai idea. But I guess since you used another name for it itās fine.

Oh wow! I like that! However, I feel like itās pretty different from what a Samurai (or Ronin, whatever) would look like, this seems more like a skin of a huntress. Also, the original skin of the class should be pretty plain, while this looks more like a skin since itās a bit more complicated. Try to make this sprite in RotMG Draw, it will look better that way.
Cool! What is the explanation for each stat? Whatās with the low wisdom? Samuraiās (or Ronins) are trained in both combat and literature and education, so the wisdom should be higher.
So the ability is a single void blade-like shot?

So the ability is a void blade that turns into a huge trap after 10 seconds? I donāt know, a huge group of Ronins with divine pets might crash the game entirely.
I like the sprite formats and the name of the scrolls.
The MP Cost is less??? As the tier goes up, the MP cost should go up or stay the same. Either make the damage higher or make it like a Doom Circle, the only benefit is the wisdom and vitality bonus.
I can tell a lot of effort was put into this. The sprites and basic idea are great, and I really enjoyed this. Besides some smaller mistakes, the biggest problem with this idea is trolling. As most have noticed, the game has a lot of trollers of toxic players, and a Ronin can just bind enemies toward other players and kill them. I mean, you can get a group of Ronins and just drag all the enemies around and kill a bunch of players. So yeah, think of that and fix it somehow, but a will be given to you!

Alright. Considering Atrapper also mentioned the spritesā animations problem, I think Iāll make a normal skin, and turn this into a special skin. Probably drops in the Mt. Temple. Iām working on it in RotMG draw right now.
Edit: I canāt save there. Dammitā¦ Iāll think of another way.

Well, my explanation for the stats were above the table, under the sprite. Iāll move it to under the table. As to lore-wiseā¦ Yeah, it doesnāt make sense, but a Sorcerer has 70 vit and a ninja has 40 vit. Iād figure a ninja would be more fit tha a Sorcerer, yāknow? The original intention was to limit skill usage something like how a knight has 50 wis. The 10 seconds limit were like a trapās duration limit. As we know, traps have 2 triggers; When the allotted time has passed (20 seconds), or when an enemy steps into itās trigger range.
In this case, I tried to make it similar to a ninjaās skill in that there are 2 parts; the key press, and the key release.
Upon press, it is spawned and your mp is drained, but it doesnāt drain it continuously. Upon key release (or 10 seconds in case you never found that perfect timing), it activates into the ādraggingā phase. If there is no unactivated Binder when the key is released, It wonāt do anything. Thanks! Iām trying to think of some way to reduce trolling as it is inherently an ability that can easily be used to troll, like a mysticās stasis, only a mysticās stasis is stalling at worst, and not too detrimental.
