Crystals
The use of Crystals has not changed. Although, I will go over them again, and add a shorter summary towards the bottom.
Summary
Usage
Upon using your ability, you will gain a temporary shield over your health. It will display a golden overlay on your health at the top right, and will show a white number beside your health to indicate the health of the shield. (If you have HP Bars enabled, it will also display this overlay over your HP Bar.)
Shields
The amount of shield that you gain is based on your tier, and your Wisdom. It will gradually rise per tier, but each tier will also come with a Wisdom modifier that will give you a more beefy shield.
Regardless of what tier or your Wisdom, however, you will lose 5% of your max shield number every second. This cannot be changed, unless specified by a UT.
Upon your shield breaking, if you take damage equal to or below 25% of your remaining shield, the damage will be nullified. (I.E. if you took 120 damage, you would need to take 30 damage or less.) If the damage is above, however, you take the full damage.
Limitations
Due to how much something like this could easily break the game, it will have its drawbacks, obviously.
For instance, you cannot activate your ability again until you have reached 33% of your remaining shield. Another limitation is that upon using your ability while some is remaining, you would only replace the old one.
TL;DR
Gold overlay goes over your health and HP bar and shows how much there is; gain more by tier and by Wisdom, lose 5% of max shield every second; negate damage if you took (below) 25% after shield breaks; cannot use again until at 33% shield and shields do not stack.

Shield inflicts damage when hit
Shield Health: 575
Shield Drain: 10%/sec
Damage to Enemy: ×4 damage taken
Ignores defense of target
While Shield is Active:
Armor Broken
On Equip:
+4 Attack
-5 Wisdom
MP Cost: 125
Fame Bonus: 5%
Feed Power: 777
Drop Location:
Archdemon Malphas
Abyss Idol
Bag Type:
Just like in the original remaster, this crystal provides the highest Shield without a Wisdom modifier, and taking damage will also damage the enemy.
However, it has been buffed considerably, to make it more worth using. Its shield has much more health, and while it costs more than it used to, it gives one more Attack and reduces Wisdom instead of Vitality. (Not like it needed Wisdom.)
It was also moved to the Abyss, which is lacking drops.
Relic of Balance
A perfect balance of good and evil, just as all things should be. Their combined powers allow its user to maintain their magic longer.
Shield regenerates over time
Shield Health: 290
+2.3 every 2 Wisdom past 45
Shield Regeneration: 30/sec
On Equip:
+1 Attack
+1 Defense
+1 Speed
+1 Dexterity
+2 Vitality
+2 Wisdom
MP Cost: 130
Fame Bonus: 5%
Feed Power: 625
Drop Location:
Limon the Sprite God
Bag Type:
This Crystal received a major buff, for good reason. It was pretty good before, but it now serves as a very good all-around Crystal when you’re unsure about how long it will be needed.
The reasoning behind making it a White Bag drop is simple: Sprite World needs a bit more love. c:
Esben’s Last Wish
A final word was spoken by the elderly mage known as Esben, and given to those who would protect it. It holds ancient wisdom within.
Shield creates an aura around the user
Shield Health: 300
+2 every 3 Wisdom past 45
Shield Drain: 10%
While Shield is Active:
Slowed to all enemies in 3.5 Squares
-15 Dexterity to Self
On Equip:
+2 Defense
-4 Speed
MP Cost: 110
Fame Bonus: 6%
Feed Power: 875
Drop Location:
Esben the Unwilling
Bag Type:
While both the original and the new slow, this one will grant slowed to any enemy too close to the user, rather than slowing whoever hit. At the same time, a pure shield is used, rather than a damage negation. As a drawback, however, it reduces Dexterity on use.
This allows it to serve as a nice utility ability, and making it situational.
Ruthven’s Spirit
The pure and uncorrupted spirit of the Lord of the Immortals himself. Its proper use remains… uncertain.
Shield negates negative conditions
Shield Health: 270
+3.8 every 4 Wisdom past 45
Shield Drain: 10%
While Shield is Active:
Immune to Negative Conditions
On Equip:
+4 Wisdom
+4 Vitality
Fame Bonus: 4%
MP Cost: 115
Feed Power: 575
Drop Location:
Lord Ruthven
Bag Type:
This Crystal is now a bit weaker than it once was, but still provides the same use and has been given a treatment similar to Esben’s Last Wish where it now simply has a shield; this comes at the cost of it running out once the Shield depletes. This trade makes it tricky to use in some situations, furthering its selective use.
It is also more common now, as to give Manor of the Immortals a drop that is easy to come across, but still useful. cough bone dagger
Dream Walker ST Set
(Full set.)
The skins to this set are listed above.
Dorimukatana (ドリームカタナ/Dream Katana)
The spirits that wander your dreams will guide you through the darkness.
Damage: 100 - 140
Range: 5.25
Shot Speed: 8
Rate of Fire: 111%
Shots hit multiple targets
Ignores defense of target
On Equip:
+2 Wisdom
Fame Bonus: 5%
Feed Power: 700
Drop Location:
Cube God
Bag Type:
Projectile:
This katana still remains powerful at high defense. However, it now does a tiny bit more damage and has more range for less Rate of Fire, meaning its usefulness will be a sliver harder to truly reach, unless you’re aiming for range.
When full set is equipped, projectile changes to this:
Northern Light
Warmth will surround you, and protect you from the nightmares that lurk in the shadows.
Shield does not drain
Shield Health: 450
+4 every 4 Wisdom past 50
While Shield is Active:
-15 Speed
On Equip:
+3 Wisdom
MP Cost: 135
Fame Bonus: 5%
Feed Power: 800
Drop Location:
Skull Shrine
Bag Type:
Just as before, this shield does not deplete or regenerate. Rather, it has very high health and provides lots of additional health. It also retains its speed loss, but for much less, as to make it far more usable outside of the set.
Glimmering Mantle
The path ahead will remain forever seen, lit by the positive energy within you.
On Equip:
+9 Defense
+70 Maximum MP
+11 Wisdom
Fame Bonus: 4%
Feed Power: 750
Drop Location:
Cube God
Skull Shrine
Bag Type:
This robe trades one Defense and Wisdom from its original to gain 10 more Maximum MP. Nothing too crazy, but this raises it to the highest MP for a robe that is not a Cyan Bag drop.
Starlight Amulet
So do not run from your dreams; follow their footsteps, for they are your ally.
On Equip:
+70 Maximum HP
+30 Maximum MP
+6 Defense
+4 Wisdom
Fame Bonus: 4%
Feed Power: 625
Drop Location:
Cube God
Skull Shrine
Bag Type:
For a defensive ring, this will now beat Experimental Ring, and will grant Wisdom as well; however, it gives less Mana by a decent margin. It will be useful in some situations, but overall, nothing outstanding.
Bonus with 2 Pieces:
+10 Wisdom
Bonus with 3 Pieces:
+25 Maximum MP
+15 Speed
Bonus with 4 Pieces:
+75 Maximum HP
Total Bonus:
+75 Maximum HP
+25 Maximum MP
+15 Speed
+10 Wisdom
I simply want to say that all of this wasn’t easy. The ST skin especially, as I suck balls at 16x16. However, with some great help from many people at the Ideas Discord, I managed to get the thing done.
Remastering a couple of the skins (and nearly all of the descriptions) also wasn’t the easiest to figure out, but I did what I needed to. Grandmaster was especially fun to mess with.
