What specs does a computer need to run rotmg smoothly?

#1

I have an hp spectre x360 13 inch with the 8th generation i7 processor yet often crash in oryx and get black tiling in the train. I have a great wifi connection and realm works perfectly on a 4 year old macbook air and i can’t say the same for the spectre. Should my computer be getting black tiling and disconnecting? If not please tell me some things that might help improve my playing experience. Btw I use chrome for a browser.

Flash on an Apple Mac?

It’s probably not your computer. Try switching over to Flash, and see if it works better.

Also, it may help to fiddle with hardware acceleration and experimental/particle effects in the options tab.

#3

I will try flash but I have done the rest.

#4

by flash u mean firefox right? @BLUbeans

#5

No, he means Adobe Flash Player. Use Adobe Flash Player 18 for rotmg. Here’s a link to the flash player. After you download it press show in file, then drag it to your screen on desktop. Open it and press the file button. Add this link:

Adobe flash player is GREAT, I used to black tile everytime and couldnt do oryx without crashing, now after converting, I havent seen a black tile once in my 6 months

#7

Thank you!

@BrandonCao link does not seem to work.

You have to copy paste (Ctrl-C, Cmd-C in your case)the http://www.realmeye.com/appspot link. After doing that, open and press file in adobe flash player. Then, press the open button. It should give you something that looks like this.

Paste (Ctrl-V, Cmd-V in your case) that link into Location. After that, wait a few seconds and the game screen should load.
However though, some mac users experience horrendous lag on flash, while most windows users do not. If you are rubber banding and lagging too often, I suggest playing on steam.

#10

Your specs are good enough.

You needs to use flash, and you need to use an ethernet cable/better internet

#11

This pops up so i don’t know what to copy @BrandonCao

#12

No, you need to copy paste the actual link, don’t click it.

#13

its actually impossible because rotmg is made shittily like very flash game ever which means there will always be circumstances where the best of the best will lag and framedrop.

#14

i think i finally got it but it doesnt seem like it downloaded flash it seems like a 1 time only thing is that right? @BrandonCao

#15

Press the link again, and then at the bottom right press the arrow, then show in folder. It should direct you to your File Explorer and highlight flash. Drag that to your home screen, and then you have pinned it there.
