Why topics close after 60 days?

#1

Any particular reason why it needs to be closed?

I’ve been viewing some old topics and have something to say, but can’t actually participate because it’s been locked?

Could something like this work?

Why is autoclose inconsistent?

Automatic anti-necrobumping countermeasure?

If you have something new to say on the subject, why not make a new thread about it? Or post it in a current thread with a similar subject?

#3

Yes, but what’s so bad about necrobumping? The link I posted is much more reasonable solution IMO. At least can we test it out and see if it becomes a problem?

You could make a new post. Or you could revive a post with tons of existing discussion already instead of having the same conversation over and over again (like that buff hydra bs on reddit).

Also sometimes there isn’t a current thread with a similar subject.

New cancer is the lesser of two evils.
