Candy Coated Armor has a 6 Defense advantage over Acropolis Armor, but in return reduces your Dexterity stat by 10, giving you more defense at the cost of your damage output being reduced.
Candy Coated Armor (commonly referred to as CC armor) is often best worn on Paladins, due to their need of defense. They can sacrifice a little dexterity for a boost in defense, which can be reimbursed with their seal which balances it a bit more.
It is also handy for Warriors, as the missing Dexterity can be given back with a simple boost with their helm, and they already do so much damage with their high Attack stat. The Defense boost can also be made more effective by using the Helm of the Juggernaut.
Candy Coated Armors are not often used by Knights, because they need their DPS, which is the lowest of the sword classes, and they cannot boost themselves. In addition, they already have the highest Defense of any class (including the other sword classes), so the extra 6 Defense won’t be nearly as beneficial to them.
