Damage Thresholds

Thresholds have been fixed across the board!

Other loot changes:

  • Nile and Pyra are more common, Sphinx is less common (but now 900 fp)
  • Stat potion drops from the Shatters are no longer limited to 2 per type
  • Overhauled tiered loot in Haunted Cemetery and removed various duplicate drops
  • Mad Lab no longer drops Robobuddy, but additional Common Automaton Eggs instead
  • Candy Land no longer drops Candy Snail

To explain in more detail what this means; many damage thresholds were set at very high values (10% or even higher in many places), which often resulted in fewer players (or even nobody) qualifying for the drop. This is the main reason we weren’t able to roll out HP Scaling changes across the board yet, since it amplified the issue - some of you might remember Davy barely dropping any loot, that was one of such cases. Various loot tables will behave differently now, but adjustments have been made to balance out differences to before.

HP Scaling

We’ve been here before, but now that thresholds are taken care of we can finally go through with it!

Every boss should now have HP scaling. Some bosses (mostly in Godlands dungeons) also have adjusted Invincibility behaviors.

The HP numbers look good. Ice Tomb bosses having more HP than the regular ones seems like an interesting choice

Will they drop candy snail or special candy-themed pet skins instead, or is it just removing the egg?

Probably that it’s no longer a Chest containing 2 Attack and 2 Defense potions for Sentinel, 2 Mana for Archmage, and 2 Life from the King; but rather, more focused on soulbound damage done, and with (presumably) no limit.
This is just some presumption, mind you - do I make it sound like I worked on this? >w<

Krathan-kun, does the damage threshold adjustment mean that SB damage is lowered? Also about the loot tables ‘behaving differently’ could you go into detail (or are they company secrets??)

For some drops, the thresholds were so ridiculously high that we had to adjust some drop chances as well. And yes, with the new thresholds that are now in place everywhere, worrying about hitting soulbound damage should be a thing of the past.

dear deca team, or krathan for that matter, is there still a reason to have loot chests in the shatters and lair of draconis? most of the community agrees that hitting any of these bosses is laughably and absurdly easy except for black which just needs to be maneuvered around and isnt particularly hard once you get a hang of.
