The game was 10x more fun when there were only sparse updates and no events of any kind.
The nest is actually a pretty cool dungeon.
Mystery boxes are a form of gambling that should not be allowed in a game that allows children to play it.
Pets make the game more enjoyable and fast paced + they give players a long term goal to work towards leveling their pet - which can easily be done up to a good level without spending money.
Trading economy doesnt matter, and has never mattered after UT’s became untradable. It barely affects everyday gameplay, and it self-corrects for supply/demand problems that chest events create (mana). Those who care so deeply about it now are probably just concerned with RWT shop profits rather than actual in-game trading.
It doesn’t really matter how “good” you are at the game. It only matters if you make the game experience enjoyable for your friends and the people around you. I’d much rather be in a guild with “unskilled” players who make me laugh and smile, rather than be in a top guild with “skilled players”. (this might not be a very unpopular opinion, Im not sure)
Using Lost halls as a fame train, is even more boring than an actual fame train, due to being forced to listen to a raid leader the entire time rather than just watching youtube and relaxing while you gain fame.
The vast majority of youtubers for this game are egomaniacs who seem to think that making videos somehow makes them special snowflakes. Funny enough, the biggest youtubers aren’t like this (talwar, ghzd, slvrdllr all seem pretty humble and down to earth), its only the smaller ones that act this way (look at my sick channel with 6k subs, Im an actual god amongst men, bow before me).
Deca is far more greedy than kabam ever was (might not be unpopular)
Speed might actually be the most important stat in the game. Att/dex dont matter so much because SB tends to be easy on everything. HP/Def arent necessary in large amounts if you can dodge efficiently. Speed on the other hand, directly impacts the efficiency in which you can clear realms, and to a certain extent, it impacts how quickly you can run dungeons. I find myself using Mystic or Sorc for the 60 base speed rather than the superior dps of the necro or wizard.

New ST sprites are so much better than the old ones (pixie, MG sword, etc.)

It’s pretty easy to dodge in LH as long as you pay attention.

Pets in their current from break the game and they should be revamped to fit an actual bullethell MMO. (they are literal vit and wis bonuses imo)
An overuse of status effects is justified by the fact that taking damage barely matters anymore in most situations. (pets and priests will heal it away)
The 2x eventwhite change event was just as grindy and mindless as the dungeon event chests. (You just run around/leech and kill a bunch of almost harmless enemies)
The way how current events work reminds me an eerie lot of grind fest mobile games. (no skill required)
UTs shouldn’t be Soulbound because they were never meant to be that. (if duping is fixed of course)
Alot of textures and artworks could use a resprite. (the current glands environment is an eyesore)
Trix and mystic are misused and misunderstood by the majority of the community. (by both low and high level players alike)
These are perhaps not really controversial but this is how I feel about the game
How? I personally think they’ve been doing a good job with the game for the most part, although they should slow down on chest events outside of Oryx and LHs, as you need to clear for one of them and the other is the hardest dungeon currently in the game.
A ton of them are extremely toxic in general, Im honestly happy some of them (Rolo) quit as they just made everyone’s experience shitty overall.
maybe that’s why they rose to be so big.
I think it’s more fun to have more dungeons to do, as you don’t have to continuously do the same dungeon over and over to get life/mana. I think dungeons added from now forward need to be end-game though.
I agree with slowing down events entirely, they shouldn’t stop them completely but they should make them maybe once a month / 2 months and make them good events, like the 2x event whites thing.

The fact that they’re useless in most situations is exactly the point, I’ll use etherite on my rogue most of the time but I keep a foul and bone dagger for when I need to reach something far away or pierce.

Silence and pet stasis take that away, but we shouldn’t have nearly as much sick as we do in the game.
You actually had to go do work tho, with a majority of the chest events you could just hit the boss 3 times, get sb, leach until chest, and profit.
With the 2x event you had to actually clear realms to get the event bosses to spawn, if you leached until bosses spawned the entire ‘leaching’ part of your opinion is entirely on you.

teleportation isn’t useful, decoys are annoying and dangerous to other players, daggers are the worst weapon type, and the stats don’t justify all of the negatives.
So many players have been using hacked client for so long, that they’d probably quit if it was ever made fully impossible to use it, rather than face the actual game difficulty.
Enough to threaten the game’s viability if hackclient use was ever truly prevented? Hopefully not, but I do wonder.
