Patch X.29.0: Threshold updates and Fixes

After Public Testing, we are going to review the feedback and continue balancing on the changes to HP scaling. That change should be expected to be published in a later release. The Nest revamp also received some valuable feedback and will go through another round of iterations before being ready for production. Thanks to everyone who participated in testing.

Also, a reminder to all that MotMG tokens and Quests will be removed from the game on 09/20! If you still have tokens to turn in or use, hurry up!

Damage Thresholds
Thresholds have been fixed across the board!

Other loot changes:

Nile and Pyra are more common, Sphinx is less common (but now 900 fp)

Stat potion drops from the Shatters are no longer limited to 2 per type

Overhauled tiered loot in Haunted Cemetery and removed various duplicate drops

Mad Lab no longer drops Robobuddy, but additional Common Automaton Eggs instead

Candy Land no longer drops Candy Snail

To explain in more detail what this means; many damage thresholds were set at very high values - 10% or even higher in many places. This often resulted in fewer players, or even nobody, qualifying for the drop. This is the main reason we weren’t able to roll out HP Scaling changes across the board sooner, since it would have amplified the issue - some of you might remember Davy barely dropping any loot for a time, that was one of such cases.

With the new very low thresholds that are now in place everywhere, worrying about hitting soulbound damage should be a thing of the past.

Fixes and Changes
Fixed an issue with data loading when returning to character selection screen

Fixed an issue with shop data not updating dynamically

Fixed an issue when an error message “unable to get news data” would obstruct the screen outside of non-combat maps

Fixed an issue where Key UI from Davy’s Locker would remain on GUI after leaving the dungeon

Fixed Vault map

Fixed an issue where Decaract in Mad God Mayhem could be insta-killed

Fixed an issue where Sword of Illumination would still drop for Abyss of Demons treasure room

Changed the pet feed power display in the Pets UI and feeding animation to be more accurate

Updated Nexus shop items UI to match new UI components

Cosmetics
