Behavior

Azure Soul Shards spawn at the start of [Nikao's](/wiki/nikao-the-azure-dragon) fight, following and circling players once close. If Nikao is fought first, second, or third, they will shoot a single Blue Blast. If [Pyyr](/wiki/pyyr-the-crimson-dragon) was fought third, they will instead 2 fire slow, armor piercing fireballs with a 180 degree arc gap. If [Limoz](limoz-the-veridian-dragon) was fought third, they will fire identical green bullets. If [Feargus](feargus-the-obsidian-dragon) was fought third, they will alternate beetween firing a ring of either 6 or 8 black bullets. Should any remain once Nikao enters his 2nd phase, they will become invulnerable and circle him. Once Nikao starts chasing, they will detach themselves and resume their previous behavior. They will despawn once the "whack-a-mole" phase starts. After Nikao summons four eggs in the diagonal corners of the arena, one Shard will spawn from each of them. If Nikao is fought first, second, or third, they will shoot a stronger, single Blue Blast. If Pyyr was fought third, they will fire 4 slow, armor piercing fireballs with a 90 degree arc gap. If Limoz was fought third, they will fire green bullets that inflict Sick for a short period of time. If Feargus was fought third, they will alternate between firing rings of 6 or 8 boomeranging black bullets. Back to top

Tips and Strategies

- Consider killing the minions in the first phase, as this will make it significantly easier: it removes Nikao's Slow-inflicting shots and armor breaks him. - If you fought Limoz third, be ware of their Sick-inflicting shots, as Nikao can dish out a lot of damage quickly during the egg phase.
