Cavern Crystals are entities found in the [Fungal Cavern](/wiki/fungal-cavern) and [Crystal Cavern](/wiki/crystal-cavern). ####Behavior Does not move or attack. When destroyed, explodes into a ring of 12 quieting purple shards. The ones in the Crystal Cavern instead explode into 36 shots which move 50% faster than their Fungal variant. In both of the dungeons where they appear, 25 of these crystals must be destroyed in order to fully power the drill that will open up the path to the boss room. The Dwarf Miner will provide a global announcement when 25%/50%/75%/100% of the crystals have been destroyed. It is recommended to clear out all of the nearby enemies first, as they can prove fatal if the player is occupied with breaking the crystals. Do not stand on them when they die, as they explode upon destruction. While they do rather low damage per shot, taking a full burst will instantly kill squishy classes, especially in the Crystal Cavern where their shot density is tripled. Classes reliant on abilities to clear out the dungeon may want to stay away from crystals and avoid all incoming shots to avoid getting Quieted. It is highly worth your time to help clear out the crystals if you're in a group. Not only does it make getting to the boss faster, the crystals have a very rare chance to drop the highly sought after [Ring of Decades](/wiki/ring-of-decades). All Cavern Crystals are indicated by a purple dot on the mini map, as opposed to a red dot which indicates all other enemies. [Back to top](#top)
