It is situated on a platform, where it will become vulnerable once a player approaches. As the player(s) attack the chest, there is a chance that it will flash and "upgrade" to a silver chest with higher loot rates. As the silver chest is attacked, there is another chance that it will upgrade even further into a gold chest with even higher loot chances.
