###Class tips

- You must have multiple players in order to complete the dungeon. There are multiple reasons for this:
1. You have to deal 50,000 damage within 5 seconds to the wall at the start room. This requires more than one character (unless you use a maxed attack and dexterity warrior with Demon Blade, the berserk buff and a few dexterity tinctures)

2. Jon Bilgewater, the boss, is healed periodically. You need to deal enough damage in order to not only counter the heals, but exceed them.
- Melees are preferred for rushing/clearing the dungeon due to their high defense and high damage output to kill the pirates. Rogues are also very good for rushing as they don't drag as many pirates as melees do.
- Bow classes are useful (but not necessary) for clearing the parrots during your fight with Jon Bilgewater.
- Paralyze is very useful skill to have in the initial phase-fight (1/2) with Bilgewater to keep him immobilized and from chasing in the limited arena-like boss area.
- A good familiarization of Confused Controls or a Priest with Tome of Purification can certainly be very helpful.
- The [Seal of the Enchanted Forest](/wiki/seal-of-the-enchanted-forest) is EXTREMELY useful for paladin due to the fact that you can slow the huge mob of pirates chasing you while rushing

###Why & How to find the Deadwater Docks
####Why

Although this dungeon is relatively difficult, it drops Speed and Dexterity Potions at a high rate and Life Potions at a lower rate, along with a chance to get some of the top-tiered weapons and armor. It also drops the Pirate King's Cutlass, an interesting sword with various uses.

####How

The dungeon is a guaranteed drop from the [Crystal Prisoner](/wiki/crystal-prisoner), but can also be purchased in the nexus for 390 gold (price varies.). You are also able to obtain the key through various contests as announced by Kabam.

###Navigating The Dungeon

Be cautious when navigating through the dungeon. The pirates are much faster than their regular counterparts and can deal significant damage along with the fact that they come in huge hordes. Although they do not have a lot of health, standing still and tanking in their shots if you are not a melee class will quickly kill you.

###The Pirates

Although they do not do devastating damage if you have high def, they are still capable of instakilling when in groups. They travel in fast distances and seem to "rush" players. You just have to round up all the pirates in one room and circle them to kill them off easily. However, gathering entire armies of pirates from multiple rooms can become a problem, as you may have to take some damage doing this and gathering armies will cause devastating amounts of HP drain. Do not do this if you are slower than the pirates or have low def.

##The Boss
###Jon Bilgewater the Pirate King

- Fighting Jon Bilgewater can certainly be intimidating for unfamiliar players of the dungeon. In order to satisfy the DPS requirements/override the healing, it is recommend that you face the boss with a small-medium group of good and experienced players (Archer, Warrior/Pally, etc). After a few attempts, you will see Jon Bilgewater is actually very predictable and with a few small tips, he can be easily taken down.
- There are two 'soft-phases' for Bilgewater. The initial phase starts when you approach Bilgewater. He will prompt you, then do a repetitive cycle of: Shooting out few single yellow Confuse bullets, aggro and chase the closest player, then halt, and fire a wide angle row of cannonballs for a few seconds. Distance is important, ranged classes will have a much easier time, especially those with Pierce. This phase can be the most intimidating as it is very possible to be sat-on by Bilgewater from parrot Slows and/or being confused can lead to a run in with Evil Water. So if the boss is very near you or you get cornered, do not hesitate to Nexus before it's too late.
- Once the first soft-phase is completed Bilgewater will re-center himself in middle of the arena, he will remain stationary until his death. This part is much easier and extremely predictable with a clear pattern. You may observe from a far-away place to get your bearings straightened and see the cues.
- Bilgewater at this point will cycle through one Offensive stage that fires patterned, evenly dispersed, omnidirectional cannonballs for a short period of time which are easy to dodge, and one Defensive stage when Parrots cluster circle around him as an Bilgewater heals for decent amounts of HP. Note: Parrots at this point should not give any trouble given you have maxed Def and a normal level Pet with Heal (45-50).
- If you re-center/reset your camera angle to default 0 Degrees and go back to where you initially spawned in (starting point), there will be a bird cage directly in-front of you. If you stand on the bird-cage and take about almost one tile step to your right, you will be in a spot where cannonballs will not be able to hit you. Next take about one-half a tile step up and note your general area. Do not move side-to-side.
- From this point, move up to attack Bilgewater, then move back when the Cannonballs come out. This will repeat until the last final part.
- When you damage Bilgewater enough he will go into his final phase in which the arena around suddenly disintegrates causing many holes to appear with Evil Water. When this happens, make sure you aren't accidentally taking damage during the whole visual chaos of Parrots, Cannonballs, and projectiles. If you did it right, you should be in a location where neither Cannonballs or Evil Water can touch you (in fact, you should be exactly in front of a small pot-hole of water, still right of the bird-cage). Keep repeating the same procedure until Jon Bilgewater dies. Collect your loot and that's it!

####Side Note(s)

Be careful of stunning Jon in his final phases, as he has a high chance of releasing a massive wall of cannonballs that are extremely dangerous.
This dungeon is the only source of parrot farming, a process usually done with a small group.
Here is one video demonstrating it. Be sure to bring loot potions if you want to parrot farm!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l09j6wL1QWg
**Parrot farming has been removed as of patch 27.7.X12.1**","This guide is currently a work in progress

##Deadwater Docks (Suggested Level: 20)

###Why & How to find the Deadwater Docks
####Why

[![Pirate King's Cutlass](//i.imgur.com/WkV86TU.png "Pirate King's Cutlass")](/wiki/pirate-king-s-cutlass)
The [Pirate King's Cutlass](/wiki/pirate-king-s-cutlass) dropping from the boss [Jon Bilgewater the Pirate King](/wiki/jon-bilgewater-the-pirate-king) himself is a very decent sword that beats out the [Sword of Acclaim](/wiki/sword-of-acclaim). While it has less range, it also has a small +2 SPD boost and a very negligeble -2 DEF on equip.

[![Wavecrest Concrtina](//i.imgur.com/zStUCio.png "Wavecrest Concertina")](/wiki/wavecrest-concertina)
The [Wavecrest Concertina](/wiki/wavecrest-concertina) is a powerful lute for the [Bard](/wiki/bard), as the parrots summoned by the lute deal massive amounts of damage. This lute drops from the boss, the [Calamity Crab](/wiki/calamity-crab), and [Bilgewater's Booty](/wiki/bilgewater-s-booty)

[![Tricorne of the High Seas](//i.imgur.com/6UiNnNB.png "Tricorne of the High Seas")](/wiki/tricorne-of-the-high-seas)[![First Mate's Hook](//i.imgur.com/kprOPN1.png "First Mate's Hook")](/wiki/first-mate-s-hook)
The [Tricorne of the High Seas](/wiki/tricorne-of-the-high-seas) and [First Mate's Hook](/wiki/first-mate-s-hook) both drop from this dungeon and are pieces of the [Pirate King Warrior Set](/wiki/pirate-king-warrior-set).

[![Potion of Life](//i.imgur.com/FDzx09G.png "Potion of Life")](/wiki/potion-of-life)[![Greater Potion of Speed](//i.imgur.com/J45lx5m.png "Greater Potion of Speed")](/wiki/greater-potion-of-speed)[![Greater Potion of Dexterity](//i.imgur.com/HayeBu9.png "Greater Potion of Dexterity")](/wiki/greater-potion-of-dexterity)[![Potion of Speed](//i.imgur.com/R2U76AH.png "Potion of Speed")](/wiki/potion-of-speed)[![Potion of Dexterity](//i.imgur.com/7kXmM0O.png "Potion of Dexterity")](/wiki/potion-of-dexterity)
The Deadwater Docks is an excellent source of [Greater Potions of Speed](/wiki/greater-potion-of-speed) and [Greater Potions of Dexterity](/wiki/greater-potion-of-dexterity) as the boss, the miniboss, and the treasure room all drop them at high rates. They all also have a small chance of dropping [Potions of Life](/wiki/potion-of-life).

####How

[![Corsair Crab](//i.imgur.com/69wUhF5.png "Corsair Crab")](/wiki/corsair-crab)

The dungeon is a guaranteed drop from the [Corsair Crab](/wiki/corsair-crab), but the Deadwater Docks Key ([![Deadwater Docks Key](//i.imgur.com/jpYiG2q.png "Deadwater Docks Key")](/wiki/dungeon-keys)) can also be purchased in the nexus for 100 [![Realm Gold](//i.imgur.com/Aka6Gj4.png "Realm Gold")](/wiki/realm-gold) (price varies.). The Corsair Crab is a rare enemy found in the godlands that has some hard hitting attacks, but can be defeated relateively easily.

###Navigating The Dungeon

The Deadwater Docks has a layout similar to that of its easier version the [Pirate Cave](/wiki/pirate-cave). The spawn area is a small shipwreck wedged in the middle of a crescent shaped island. Then there is a series of floating wooden rafts with small wooden bridges connecting them together. Most rafts contain cannons that shoot out lines of cannonballs in various patterns. The occasional island with a building in the middle and barrels littering the surrounding area. There will also be various destructible [Explosive Barrels](/wiki/explosive-barrel) that deal 120 armor piercing damage. The treasure room consists of a small skull shaped island with Bilgewater's Booty in the middle. There is also a small shipwreck containing the [Kingdom Stowaway](/wiki/kingdom-stowaway) located randomly in the dungeon. All the ships, islands, and rafts are surrounded by harmful Dead Water, so it's much harder to skip certain paths than in the Pirate Cave. The final boss room is located within a giant ship. A large mast with a black flag representing Jon Bilgewater the Pirate King lays at the front. In the middle are two inaccessible rooms at the sides, with the left one holding racks of clothing and a bed, and the right room holding large masses of gold and jewels. In front of the rooms are randomized paintings. Finally at the very back of the ship is the actual boss room, containing 2 rows of cannons, a parrot cage, and a series of windows. Although the dungeon is very open due to there being very little walls, the Dead Water and the various amounts of enemies can still present a threat to rushers.

###The Enemies

There is a large variety of enemies, from the small and swift Sea Slurps to the large and powerful Deadwater Pirates themselves. The Sea Slurps are small and do decent damage, but are very easy to dodge and have low DEF. The actual pirates are the true threats however. The [Deadwater Admiral](/wiki/deadwater-admiral), [Deadwater Captain](/wiki/deadwater-captain), and [Deadwater Lieutenant](/wiki/deadwater-lieutenant) are much larger and deal high amounts of damage. The Deadwater Lieutenant in particular can be very dangerous as its boomeranging shots and high mobility make it difficult to dodge. If encountering only one or two of these, attempt to circle them, as their shots aren't predictive. The lesser pirates are still dangerous, but can be easily killed due to their low DEF, simillar to the Sea Slurps. Try dragging them around in crowds and slowly kill them off while running until they are all defeated. The Explosive Barrels can be useful in crowd clearing.

##Wandering Miniboss
###Calamity Crab
[![Calamity Crab](//i.imgur.com/j0hEpAj.png "Calamity Crab")](/wiki/calamity-crab)
The [Calamity Crab](/wiki/calamity-crab) is the wandering miniboss of the Deadwater Docks. It patrols the dungeon looking for players, and activates upon sight of one. Your best bet upon seeing the Calamity Crab is to just **run**. The miniboss fast and shoots out a barrage of highly damaging shots, some of which armor break and expose. To prepare for such an encounter, memorize the path that you have taken so far. That way, you can remember where you have already cleared out enemies and backtrack. One common method is to drag the Calamity Crab back to spawn and into the shipwreck, as those are the only walls that the miniboss cannot break. It will then bounce off, temporarily stopping its attacks and going invulnerable, before resetting until it sees another player again. Groups will drag the crab to the wall and in between its invulnerable phases will damage it. This provides a safe way of fighting the miniboss while still avoiding most of the attacks.

###Commotion Crab
[![Commotion Crab](//i.imgur.com/WNZnlma.png "Commotion Crab")](/wiki/commotion-crab)
The [Commotion Crab](/wiki/commotion-crab) is a smaller version of the Calamity Crab that only appears in dungeons with the Crab Rave mod, which deals less damage. It is still dangerous as shots still armor break and expose, which can stack up and deal mass amounts of damage. Also, the shots are smaller, making it harder to dodge especially in groups. You can employ the same strategy as for the Calamity Crab, but the damage is so much lower that it's possible to just micro dodge in place while shooting the Commotion Crab as it circles you.

##The Boss
###Jon Bilgewater the Pirate King
[![Jon Bilgewater the Pirate King](//i.imgur.com/p4ewy13.png "Jon Bilgewater the Pirate King")](/wiki/jon-bilgewater-the-pirate-king)

[Jon Bilgewater the Pirate King](/wiki/jon-bilgewater-the-pirate-king) is the final boss of Deadwater Docks. He has 5 phases and a special attack, each one only having 2-3 attacks, and with every phase, the ship's floor begins to fall apart, exposing the harmful Dead Water. The first phase is not that difficult. Simply circle the boss or deal damage from afar if you're a ranged class. Phase 2 is a bit more difficult, as there are now cannonballs flying in rows across the room, meaning you have to pay attention to both the boss and the cannonballs. When he shoots out his bursts of silver coins and armor piercing cannonballs, attempt to rotate while weaving in between the room's cannonballs. As for the parametric spike balls, it is more beneficial to stand closer to the boss as the shots will curve around or away from you instead. In Phase 3, you must defeat [Bartholomew the Massive Parrot](/wiki/bartholomew-the-massive-parrot) in order to progress to Phase 4. Bartholomew is surrounded by a group of [Deadwater Macaws](/wiki/deadwater-macaw), with [Deadwater Parrots](/wiki/deadwater-parrot) occasionally spawning from the parrot cage in the back of the room. Attempt to circle the boss while damaging Bartholomew, and especially be careful when weaving through the armor breaking cannonballs as they can cripple your DEF. Piercing weapons are great for this phase as it will allow you to defeat Bartholomew much quicker. Next in Phase 4, the boss will cycle through 3 attacks. For his circling phase, stay in the middle and micro dodge if you're a ranged class, and follow the boss if you're a melee. For his streams of cutlass shots, rotate the boss while weaving into the gaps of the rings of golden coins. Then for Jon Bilgewater's shotgun attack, keep your distance or circle the boss. Finally is Phase 5, which consists of 2 attacks. For the first one, slowly rotate with the tentacles of shots and go in between the gaps in the rings of armor breaking cannonballs. For his second attack, keep your distance while dealing damage, as the varying speeds of his shotguns can be confusing to circle. Then there is his special attack, exclusive to Phase 5. You can attempt to deal damage while micro dodging in the middle of the room, but it is best to wait until when he becomes staggered before going all out on damage.

##Overview
The Deadwater Docks is a difficult dungeon but a great source of SPD and DEX pots, along with some decent UT's. It can also work as a source of life despite its low drop rate. The Calamity Crab in particular is very dangerous. However, if you can overcome all the challenges, you can walk away with lots of potions and some great UT's.

Back to top"],[[],[]]);initializeCookieConsentBanner("e");
