The **Lich** is a [quest monster](/wiki/quest-monsters) that spawns in temple setpieces in the Realm. Killing all Liches in a realm is required to close it. The Lich has the lowest quest level among all enemies required to close a realm, and is therefore generally the last quest enemy to be killed before the realm closes.

Behavior

The Lich is a mid-level quest found after Wasp Queens and Horned Drakes. It is the first quest that goes toward closing the realm.

The Lich evaluates damage, like the Ent Ancient and Ghost King. Shooting it triggers evaluation, signaled by the taunt "New recruits for my undead army? How delightful!" The Lich spawns Mummies, and will also spawn Phylactery Bearers and Haunted Spirits when buffed to at least Level 2.

The Lich fires 3 moderate bullets all evenly distanced from each other when evaluating damage, 4 small weak ones in all phases, and a stream of the first ones when buffed.

Tips and Strategies

- Buffing the lich (dealing a certain amount of damage to it) will increase the time it takes to kill it. That being said, you can do a number of things with including: - Buffing all the liches before the realm closes to let fellow friends get into the realm before going to oryx - Drake eggs/tinctures - Trolling just for the sake of trolling With this in mind, if you want to close the realm fast, obviously don't buff the lich. - While playing as the Mystic, a buffed lich with the Bearer around him can be defeated simply by putting the Bearer in Stasis.
