Behavior

The Lost Sentry is located in a large setpiece resembling a courtyard, with several walls to provide cover. Throughout his fight, the [Spectral Sentry](/wiki/spectral-sentry-event), an invincible enemy, will fly around the edges of the arena while taking shots at targets. Uniquely, while he is an Event Boss and has a minimap marker, he has no Quest Arrow and is not required to close the realm. The Lost Sentry cannot move and uses a wide variety of attacks, but his attacks do not gain difficulty as he loses health. In between attacks, he will have short invulnerability times. His attacks are as follows: - Firing 4-way streams of Yellow Shots that rotate clockwise and Paralyze, while throwing highly damaging Red Bombs in groups of 8 around him. - Firing several dense rings of Red Shots with a small opening on one side. During this attack, he will also throw Petrifying White Bombs in groups of 4. - Firing 2-way spirals of Purple, Blue, and Grey shots that rotate in different directions. - Firing crisscrossing streams of Black Shots while also firing aimed spreads of Green Shots. - Firing radial bursts of wavy Grey Shots and spirals of Red and Blue Shots. - Firing multi-directional wavy streams of Yellow, Purple, and Black shots. - Firing pairs of Grey Shots and spreads of Green Shots in various directions, all of which have a boomerang effect. Uniquely for a boss, the Lost Sentry visually begins breaking down as he loses health.

Tips and Strategies

While the Lost Sentry has enormous health and huge amounts of firepower, the Spectral Sentry defending him is arguably the most dangerous part of the fight due to its invincibility and armor-piercing shotguns. Avoiding the Spectral Sentry should be your highest priority. Beware, as the Spectral Sentry will sometimes fly through the middle of the arena without warning. The Lost Sentry's attacks are powerful but heavily patterned: find gaps in his bullets and exploit them.
