The Rubber Ducky is a April Fools re-skin of the [Ghost Ship](/wiki/ghost-ship) that has been released as of Release 27.7.X12.1 The **Rubber Ducky** is an [event boss](/wiki/quest-monsters#event) that spawns once per realm. It has a chance of dropping a portal to [Davy Jones' Locker](/wiki/davy-jones-s-locker).

Behavior

Phase One The ship summons Beach Towel and shoots cannonballs. It will occasionally say "PLACEHOLDER" and shoot cannonballs only. It may also summon Vengeful Shampoo to charge at you. Phase Two The ship summons Soap Mine and shoots small and large Cannonballs. It also occasionally summons Vengeful Shampoo to charge at you. Beware that Soap Mine can almost instantly kill you if caught in the middle of one. Phase 3 The ship summons the Tempest Sponge. At this point, you must either stay in and attempt to safely circle around the ship and go for the kill quickly. Or, you run back onto the beach(and fight some Beach Towel)before the Tempest Sponge start shooting at you. If you choose the latter, you will have to get the ship to come to the beach and shoot at it. Or, you can find the opening in the Tempest Sponge circle and get back in and start shooting it.

Tips and Strategies

- Try to get near the boss before it is activated. The tempest sponge and beach towel make it difficult to get near the boss once activated without max def. This is not a robe class battle, unless you can dodge very well, as you can be quickly killed without max def. Make sure to move away from the mines and dodge the cannonballs. Any somewhat maxed (2/8+) character can easily do this event boss.
