The first quest a desert scavenger will be pointed to. The king itself is nothing complicated, but its minions can be tricky! It gives much better XP than the Elves. It also is susceptible to overspawning in some desert areas making an entire army which, while being able to kill the occasional desert-wandering level 1, gives amazing XP to the fortunate train that stumbles on it.

Tips and Strategies

- Though these enemies are not particularly dangerous, occasionally a huge number of them will spawn. As a low level player, you should avoid approaching these and alert other players to its presence by saying "Sandman convention" in the chat and waiting for a higher leveled player to teleport to you. As a high-level player, you should try to kill Sandmen whenever you cross them to prevent them from overspawning, and clear out conventions when you see someone mentioning them in the chat.
