Behavior

Spiraling Bullets Phase: Septavius fires the armor piercing White Bullets in a three-armed sprial pattern. Lair Ghost Archers, Knights, Mages, Paladins, Rogues, and Warriors that surround Septavius will chase the closest player. Bullet Ring Phase: Septavius fires rings of White Bullets around himself. Be careful: this has killed 8/8 knights. Quiet and Confuse Phase: Septavius fires Confuse stars and tiny brown bullets that inflict Quiet. Septavius slowly wanders toward the closest player. Ghost Spawning Phase: Septavius spawns Ghost Mages, Warriors, and Rogues of Septavius which will chase the closest player. The Mages tend to stay close to him. He will also fire white bullets at the closest player.

Tips and Strategies

If you rest more often than you fight, he will most likely go into the room you are in when you are resting. HOWEVER, if you go away into a different room farther away like instead of the room next to the boss room, go two rooms away and he probably won't follow you. He isn't a boss that you can fight on your own without being level 15-20. Take caution and look out for his noble followers. Strategies: If you have maxed speed, then you have a very easy way to take out Septavius. During the phases where he spawns minions for you to fight off, and also during his phase of spiraling defense-piercing bullets, circle him in a clockwise direction and fire constantly into the center of the fray. With a piercing weapons like Bows, Katanas, Cwands or Bone Daggers, you could easily clear the goons and get a good deal of damage on Septavius. If you have maxed speed for this phase as well, it should be interesting to find a spot where you can keep in the center of the two piercing bullet waves. However, if you take this on without maxed speed, you should be wary of the piercing bullet waves attack, as circling could cause you to take multiple 75-damage rounds to the face. Instead, try to dodge between some of the bullets while circling. This type of stutter is more difficult to achieve, but both come down to the same result. Septavius' minions will not be able to keep up with you, allowing you to pick them off as necessary. Septavius has an interesting pattern of attack. When he has most of his health remaining, the phases are long and more noticeable. When he is down to a low amount of damage, especially when he is 95 percent dead, a phase might pass in only 3-4 seconds! Septavius is most vulnerable during his minion spawning phase (except for the first time). When he turns green stand next to him and plug away... he is vulnerable and has no attack. Bullet Ring Phase Tips/Strategies: Dodge the bullets and fire at Septavius. If you get hit by 3 or more bullets, nexus or retreat into another room depending on how low your life is. BE VERY CAREFUL! If you stand next to Septavius on his 360 degree big bullet attack, he will move on top of you and KILL you. Each bullet hits hard and many of them can overwhelm a noob or a pro. If you've seen your fair share of ROTMG YouTube videos, you may have seen a 6/8 grave caused by this stage. Quiet and Confuse Phase Tips/Strategies: With maxed or fairly maxed def, tank the quiet bullets and avoid the confuse shots. You can easily get damage in at this phase with a lot of def. Otherwise, stay in another room and wait for the phase to end. Ghost Spawning Phase Tips/Strategies: Circle Septavius and ignore the ghosts that follow you. (Unless they are dealing a lot of damage. This means that you don't have enough speed) Steadily fire at Septavius while circling. A piercing weapon works best here. Warrior tips: Avoid using your helmet, as this can make you TOO fast, and you'll outrun the bullets, which is just about as bad. Assassin tips: Before Septavius begins to quiet players, throw multiple poisons to double up on the damage dealt. This way other players damage helps you get drops. Necromancer tips: During the phase when Septavius summons minions and turns green, use your skull to deal damage to Septavius. It can clear out the minions, deal damage, and heal yourself. Bow classes are especially good in the minion phase, as they have piercing shots. If archer, wait until Septavius turns green, as specified above, and spam your quiver, as he does not move then. Also, make sure to clear all rooms around the boss room, so that you can rest if you need to.
