\n\nHowever, the catch is that all the shots fire **backwards**, meaning you have to aim behind you in order to fire at enemies. This creates a dilemma where you have to choose between aiming your ability or blasting enemies with the staff. Of course, you could just use it like an [Extreme Prejudice](https:\/\/www.realmeye.com\/wiki\/staff-of-extreme-prejudice), but it has much less overall damage. \n\nDespite its drawback, it is still undoubtedly powerful, boasting extraordinarily high DPS and crowd-control abilities. Hitting all its shots will give the user damage output that far surpasses that of just about every other staff in the game - the only staff that can reasonably surpass its damage is a point-blank Staff of Extreme Prejudice, and even then the Staff of Unholy Sacrifice will surpass it at mid-to-high DEF.\n\nWizard will have the hardest time using this staff effectively. Since Spells are typically utilized to land an instant, high-damage bomb on an enemy, the Wizard must have a very precise aim. This typically means Wizards must choose between staff damage and Spell damage, something which is highly undesirable for their DPS. If you're a Wizard, a different staff is a much better fit for you.\n\nThe Mystic can use this staff quite well. Tiered orbs can curse for quite a distance, and if you don't need stasis, self-buffing with a [T5](https:\/\/www.realmeye.com\/wiki\/banishment-orb)\/[T6](https:\/\/www.realmeye.com\/wiki\/planefetter-orb) Orb (or even an [Orb Of Conflict](https:\/\/www.realmeye.com\/wiki\/orb-of-conflict)\/[Soul Of The Bearer](https:\/\/www.realmeye.com\/wiki\/soul-of-the-bearer), though neither of these orbs curse) does not require the Mystic to target their cursor. Use the orb right behind you, curse the enemies in front of you, apply Berserk\/Damaging(\/Speedy) and melt enemies with ridiculous DPS.\n\nA Necromancer can be an effective user of this staff with the right equipment. Since the radius of a skull is small, a Necromancer must get much too close for a robe class' comfort if they want to continue hitting enemies while also healing (and\/or slowing with the [Skullish Remains Of Esben](https:\/\/www.realmeye.com\/wiki\/skullish-remains-of-esben)). However, with the [Memento Mori](https:\/\/www.realmeye.com\/wiki\/memento-mori), self-buffing is most of the time even more powerful than the Mystic's orbs, due to the Necromancer's higher damage output. In addition, while rushing, a good Necromancer can heal from the enemies they bypass while absolutely annihilating the enemies or walls in their path.\n\n{{template-cultist-necromancer-set-navigation}}\n{{template-staff-navigation}}"],[[],[]]);initializeCookieConsentBanner("e");
