A way to counter this is to walk close to wall, trapping it and preventing them from moving due to its AI. This is considered the safest way to dispatch of all bats. This enemy is susceptible to {{template-stunned}}, meaning [Knights](/wiki/knight) can neutralise this enemy with little to no threat. The stun will also prevent the death explosion, making it even more valuable.
