The Thousand Shot is a unique bow that has the highest rate of fire compared to that of any other weapon.
Initially, the Thousand Shot Bow was an item obtainable from alpha-testing the game, or by devs/admins spawning it in. However it was not a drop in that period of time.
Thousand Shot is a versatile bow with a high rate of fire, with damage ranging from 40 to 130 damage.With a maxed Attack stat of 75 for bow classes, the Thousand Shot’s DPS outstrips the Bow of Covert Havens and the Coral Bow at 20 defense, and clearly has the highest DPS behind the Leaf Bow and the Doom Bow (Although the Leaf Bow retains much higher DPS than thousand shot, especially on singular boss-fights, it is still not as versatile as the Thousand Shot due to its shorter range, inability to pierce, and wavering shot pattern). This bow also has the highest true range of 7.6, beating The range of the Doom Bow’s by 0.6 (Coral bow still beats the TS in range by 1, but the two shots reduces its true range to 5.7 tiles). It furthermore gives the user 30 MP, giving an archer an extra shot with his quiver if a little more MP is also put in.
The Thousand Shot bow reduces your movement by 5, so it might be dangerous to equip this depending on the situation.
Thousand Shot is a great weapon that rivals all other bows, and can even be used as a main weapon, or even replace the widely used Coral Bow. The lapse of speed can easily be made compensated in untiered armors like Coral Silk, Spectral Cloth, and Harlequin. Perhaps you could even use the 30 MP to equip a Candy Ring for a -70 MP and +5 speed overall boost!
Overall, the Thousand Shot is a great bow with a worthy past and bright future. You can expect its 6% fame bonus along with these great stats to see an increase in Thousand Shot users. Again, it does have its weaknesses, like its reduction of speed and difficulty to acquire. The Thousand Shot should ideally be used as a swap-out bow for quests in the Realm, and not used as a main bow like the Doom Bow or the Bow of Covert Havens.
A Bow’s Backstory: History of the Thousand Shot
The Thousand Shot had been in the game code for a very long time since Kabam’s ownership, and was even once leaked into the game when hackers decided to spawn the items into the game, but was quickly removed after the devs found out.
Before it was put into the game again and given a drop location, this bow was planned like a vanity item, with only 50-75 damage and a 7.2 range, which mockingly rivals the DPS of the Tier 9 Verdant Bow.
