How

To get a [Treasure Map](/wiki/dungeon-keys), you must create a new Kongregate account and reach level 20 with the Ninja. You can then invite the alternate account you made to your guild (if you want to do a guild Treasure Cave) or go into a Pirate Cave on both characters (if you want to solo). You can alternatively gain the key from completing the [Run The Table](/wiki/the-tinkerer) Tinkerer quest, which requires gathering marks from beginner level dungeons. Why

This dungeon is a mediocre source for rainbow potions (excluding life and mana), as the boss drops them uncommonly, although the minions drop them at a fairly high rate. The boss also has a chance to drop some decent rings. Furthermore, the boss can drop the [armor](/wiki/ornate-armor) piece of the [Treasure Hunter Archer Set](/wiki/treasure-hunter-archer-set). Finally, it is the source of the [Mark of the Effigy](/wiki/mark-of-the-effigy), which can be traded at [the Tinkerer](/wiki/the-tinkerer) for a [Mighty Quest Chest](/wiki/mighty-quest-chest). Layout:

Seriously, once you have seen one of these dungeons you have seen them all. They always have the exact same layout (other than a few different placements of the jars, enemies, and angle of the boss room entrance), so they're not challenging to navigate. When you enter the dungeon you are in a room with a bunch of square tracks with [Log Traps](/wiki/log-trap) on them- as long as you don't charge into the Log Trap it can't hurt you. In some of the rooms up ahead you will see [Treasure Rats](/wiki/treasure-rat), which are tiny, until someone shoots it. Then it will grow very big and begin to chase players down. These are the best monsters in the whole dungeon as they drop at least one [Potion of Defense](/wiki/potion-of-defense). You also have to watch out for [Treasure Mimics](/wiki/treasure-mimic) that try to eat you! After these first rooms you will now face the [Boulder](/wiki/boulder) trap. The Boulder trap is a hallway going up, with a giant Boulder rolling down. You can use the grooves on the side of the corridor to go a little bit further up each time. The next room is a room FILLED with gold- and [Treasure Plunderers](/wiki/treasure-plunderer). Treasure Plunderers can also drop [Potions of Attack](/wiki/potion-of-attack). They have a trick up their sleeves though - they can go Invisible. After this room you will have the [Flame Trap](/wiki/flame-trap) room, which is just a timed fire wave that goes across the room in a constant rate and pattern. There are 5 safe places to stand, but they are blocked off by breakable pottery. Just shoot where you are going to walk and you won't get burned. One thing to note is that the Flame Traps will go off in the order in which they are rendered within your field of vision. This means that if you move too slowly, the Flame Traps can activate off-sync from each other, resulting in a more difficult room to navigate. It is recommended you rush through the room so you don't unsync the Flame Traps. Now after this room you go into the boss room. Back to top

Boss

####Golden Oryx Effigy [![Golden Oryx Effigy](//dl.dropbox.com/u/52918745/Enemies/Golden%20Oryx%20Effigy.png "Golden Oryx Effigy")](/wiki/golden-oryx-effigy) The [Golden Oryx Effigy](/wiki/golden-oryx-effigy) has two battle phases, one where he is completely vulnerable in, and the second, which he is absolutely invincible in. In his first phase he has four [Treasure Oryx Defenders](/wiki/treasure-oryx-defender) around him, circling him like the protection crystals of a [Lord of the Lost Lands](/wiki/lord-of-the-lost-lands). These idols can do 80 damage if you are wearing absolutely no armor, so steer clear. They also like to blind you with shurikens. After you kill the four defenders, the Golden Oryx Effigy will go into his second phase. He will then start to fire Medusa-style bombs everywhere as he starts his rage phase - once he calms down he spawns his little satellite minions again and you just rinse and repeat. Just remember that you cannot hurt him until all of the satellite guards are dead. Not too difficult. Back to top

###Overview A dungeon which is difficult to get in to and not very rewarding. It's also rather easy, with a boss which promises more than it delivers. However, it is a very fun experience, and the only dungeon that is more trap-oriented than enemy-oriented. If you see one of these, there is little harm in trying it, but also little reward.
