He is invulnerable in this phase. \r\n**Phase 2**\r\nJanus will pull his keys (if not destroyed) towards him and will stop shooting.\r\nHe is also invulnerable in this phase.\r\nJanus gets healed by his keys every other time he pulls them towards himself.\r\nThe keys heal him each +2000 hp.\r\n\r\n**Phase 3**\r\nOnce his keys are destroyed he will put a flashing hourglass pattern on the ground which will indicate were he will shoot next. The red floor tiles indicate where the boss is about to attack. Staying within the red areas could result in a quick death, even for maxed players.\r\n\r\n**Important Tip for Small Groups:** The portal to the Court of Oryx<\/a> is only open for 30 seconds, so it might disappear before the test chest can be broken. It will only open if all the Suits of Armor (not Haunted Armors<\/a>) are destroyed. All players in the castle will know when all the Suits of Armor are destroyed by Janus performing a unique taunt:\n\"You thrash His Lordship's castle, kill his brothers, and challenge us. Come, come if you dare.\"<\/b>\n\nA short time after a player enters his chamber, he will awaken, signified by another taunt:\n\"You bear witness to Janus, Doorwarden of Oryx. You will soon regret your decisions, your soul sealed away - forever.\"<\/b>\n\nPhase 1<\/b>\nTaunt: \"Keys, protect your master.\"<\/b>\nJanus will spawn 4 Keys of Light<\/a> and 4 Keys of Darkness<\/a> in various preset positions along the edge of the room that fire radial armor pierce bullets. He will meanwhile be firing armor-piercing boomerangs in a 10 star pattern. He is invulnerable in this phase. Do not stand where the keys spawn as it is an instakill.\n\nAfter several seconds have passed, he will move to Phase 2.\n\nPhase 2<\/b>\nJanus will pull any keys that are still alive towards him and will stop shooting. The Keys will then fire a random spread of bullets in a radial pattern. He is also invulnerable in this phase. The Keys will heal Janus for 2,000 HP each every other time he pulls them towards himself.\n\nAfter a few seconds, he reverts back to Phase 1.\n\nIf at any time during Phases 1 and 2 are all his keys destroyed, he will transition to Phase 3.\n\nPhase 3<\/b>\nTaunt:\n\"Laughable attempt. I will erase you from this world.\"<\/b>\n\"You think that disabling the keys will stop me?\"<\/b>\n\"I shall never open to the likes of you!\"<\/b>\n\"I will protect the Court of Oryx with my life!\"<\/b>\n\nOnce his keys are destroyed he will become vulnerable and put a flashing hourglass pattern on the ground which will indicate were he will shoot that lasts for a few seconds. He will then fire a massive wave of armor-piercing boomerangs that deals devastating damage to anyone still standing in the hourglass. Note that he will always start shooting to the top and bottom and then to the left and right. After shooting both ways twice he will switch to phase 1 again if he hasn't taken enough damage.\n\nNote: Be careful when fighting this boss if you are experiencing lag, as the sheer number of projectiles in this phase are very likely to kill you.\n\nPhase 4<\/b>\nTaunt:\n\"I AM THE DOORWARDEN! YOU SHALL NOT ENTER!\"<\/b>\n\"Sorcery! Brutality! I will not falter!\"<\/b>\n\"I cast you off, fools! Do not come near.\"<\/b>\n\nOnce his health is low, Janus will begin rapidly alternating between firing 2-way shotguns of boomerangs along the vertical and horizontal axes, all while spawning Keys of Light<\/a> and Keys of Darkness<\/a>, which rotate around him while firing radial bursts. Do not be too hasty to move out of the red however as if you are not watching you are likely to run into the shots Janus has previously shot that are boomeranging back. Weaving in a figure-eight pattern can help the player avoid all of Janus' shots, but they still have to beware of the Keys.\n\nA interesting thing to note is that the Keys of Light and Darkness are different. While their shots are the same, the Key of Darkness has more health (6,000 base to the other's 3,000 base), while the Key of Light has more defense (50 compared to the other's 20).
