When approached, he will briefly taunt before initiating combat.\n**\"Avast! Are ye here to ruin me trades, or to loot me ship all by yourself?\"**\n\n####Phase 1\nTaunt: **\"It's down to the drink with ye either way! Har har harrr!\"**\nJon Bilgewater alternates between two attack patterns (starting with a random one), switching between them every few seconds. When switching attacks, he will briefly pause and flash red while invulnerable.\n\n* Maintaining his distance from players while firing wide shotguns of cannonballs.\n* Circling counterclockwise around the center of the room while firing 4-way bursts of bronze coins and aimed streams of cutlass projectiles.\n\n####Phase 2\nTaunt: **\"Arrrrrghhh, ye won't long in the crossing firepower of two men-of-war!\"**\nThe exit to the room seals off as the cannons lining the sides of the room activate, constantly firing barrages of cannonballs from both sides of the room. Jon will remain still in the center of the room and alternate between two different attack patterns using the same logic as his previous phase:\n\n* Firing rings of silver coins along with aimed 3-shot spreads of skull-patterned cannonballs that pierce armor.\n* Releasing a large number of parametric spike balls around him.\n\n####Phase 3\nTaunt: **\"Ahoy, Bartholomew! Treat this bilge rat like your mates in the gibbet cages!\"**\nJon goes invulnerable and opens the parrot cage in the arena, releasing his pet parrot Bartholomew along with 3 Deadwater Macaws. The Macaws orbit Jon while firing single blue feathers, while Bartholomew chases down players with shotguns of green and red feathers. The parrot cage will periodically release additional Deadwater Parrots that follow Bartholomew while firing shots.\n\nJon is invincible while Bartholomew is alive, and will be alternating between two patterns in the center of the room:\n\n* Firing aimed rapid single cannonballs.\n* Firing massive, aimed shotguns of cutlass shots.\n\nThe side cannons will also start alternating randomly between regular cannonballs, armor piercing skull cannonballs, orange cannonballs that inflict Armor Broken, and wavy spiked cannonballs.\n\nThe phase will progress when Bartholomew is killed. Note that any leftover parrots will not despawn in the next phase.\n####Phase 4\nTaunt: **\"Scurvy dog! Look what ye did to my ship! Yer blasted pieces will be shark bait!\"**\nThe floor of Jon's ship starts breaking apart, revealing hazardous tiles of Dead Water that deal damage and slow players on contact. He switches to his next attack patterns:\n\n* Circling counterclockwise around the center of the room while firing a stream of cannonballs, periodically firing an additional wide shotgun.\n* Remaining still and firing rings of golden coins along with an aimed stream of cutlass shots.\n* Wandering erratically and firing rapid shotguns of Armor Piercing skull cannonballs.\n\n####Phase 5\nTaunt: **\"Ye won't get away with this! Deadwater will hound ye across the seas for the rest of yer days, savvy?\"**\nThe floor of the ship breaks down even more, revealing more Dead Water. Jon switches to his last attack set.\n\n* Maintaining his distance while rapidly firing spreads of regular cannonballs, bursts of wavy spike balls, spreads of Exposing skull cannonballs, and wide spreads of Armor Breaking fireballs.\n* Standing in the center of the room, firing dense rings of Armor Piercing skull cannonballs and a 5-armed, clockwise spiral of Armor Breaking red cannonballs.\n\n#####Special Attack\nTaunt: **\"Shiver me timbers! No landlubber will best the Pirate King!\"\n\"Dreadstump was a DreadCHUMP! Yer no match for a real Pirate King!\"**\nAt any point within his final phase, Jon may randomly decide to use this attack instead of a regular one. It is generally used less commonly than his usual attacks.\n\nJon circles counterclockwise around the room, firing rapid rings of both regular and armor piercing cannonballs in a relentless barrage. After circling a few times, he'll temporarily become Confused and wander harmlessly in place, allowing players to pile damage onto him before he resumes his pattern.\n**\"ARRRGHH!
