Standard Quest Chest
}}

This tome heals less than a T5 tome as well as not applying the healing buff and having a smaller radius, in exchange for the ability to curse enemies within a 5 tile radius. This can increase the DPS of a group if there is no mystic present. There is also no need to worry about accidentally stasising enemies, and it is also possible to curse large group of enemies by standing in the middle.

However, this also has its additional drawbacks. Upon use, the user is also cursed, which decreases survivability, which is already lower because of the weaker heal and no healing. The 5 tile radius also means in order to curse a boss, the priest would need to walk much closer, which further puts the user at risk. The -5 VIT stat bonus doesn't help much either.

Overall, this tome could see some usage in very niche situations, but other than that, there are usually plenty of better options to choose from.

**Trivia:**
The name of this item is "The Necronomicon," which is a fictional book of magic appearing in the works of H. Although it's usage is nullified in the presence of a Mystic, the damage can compensate Priest's overall lack of DPS throughout early and mid-game dungeons.

In the right hands, it can be used as an incredible offensive tool much like the Tome of Pain, but with better healing, potential damage and the {{template-curse}} effect.

This Item pairs well with the Tome of Purification as it purifies the self-inflicted {{template-curse}} and allowing further usage without hindering yourself.

This tome fires a line of 5 projectiles, meaning a Priest using this tome will hit 2-3 shots on most occasions, with the following shot pattern:

History
Before {{template-release|patch=X.33.1.0}}, this item had a feed power of 800.

Before {{template-release|exaltVersion=1.0.0.0}}, this item had an MP cost of 100, a heal of 160 HP, and a {{template-curse}} AoE. This item also recieved new WisMod formulas and had the following sprite:

Before {{template-release|exaltVersion=2.0.0.0}}, this item was soulbound.

Before {{template-release|exaltVersion=3.3.5.0}}, this item dealt 100-200 damage and granted -5 VIT on equip.

Trivia
The name of this item, "Necronomicon," is a fictional book of magic appearing in the works of H.
