Keep in mind that this seal is affected by Wismod - the higher your WIS, the longer you are invulnerable.

It excels in solo play, where the benefits of the tiered seal and its HP boost are usually outweighed by invulnerability. You should always keep a tiered seal as a swapout, for situations where you don't need to go invincible.

Depending on the playstyle of the user, the seal can be used defensively to prevent oneshots, or offensively, charging into bullets that would otherwise cripple a character and allowing them to continue to damage enemies for a short period of time. This seal can also be used to activate items with 'proc' effects, namely the [E.Y.E](/wiki/e-y-e) accessory (do this at your own risk).

Note that the item is a eminently rare drop, so use with caution. Without the blueprint, it can be very hard to reobtain.

If you're under the effect Invulnerability **you can still take damage from environmental hazards** such as [Lava](/wiki/lava), [Magma](/wiki/magma), and [Evil Water](/wiki/evil-water).

History
Added in {{template-release|build=100}}. There was a bug on the seal which prevented paladins who had it in their inventory from trading with other players. This was fixed in {{template-release|release=12.5}}.

In {{template-release|release=25.0.0}} a small rework saw the item's stats change from +5 SPD, to -4 DEF, +4 SPD, and Wismod was added to control the duration and range.

Before {{template-release|patch=X.33.1.0}}, this item had a Feed Power of 750.

Before {{template-release|exaltVersion=1.1.0.0}}, this seal gave -4 DEF and had an invulnerability duration of 1.2s. It has received new WisMod formulas.

Trivia
Original testing description was, "When the Gods confront their worst enemies, they arm their Paladins with this seal."

This seal is often referred to as "Oreo" by players due to it being similar looking to the [Oreo](https://www.oreo.com/) cookie brand.

April Fools Version
For April Fool events the sprite has been changed to that of the [Chocolate Cream Sandwich Cookie](/wiki/chocolate-cream-sandwich-cookie), owing to the 'Oreo' nickname of the Seal of Blasphemous Prayer, Oreo being a brand of chocolate cookie:

{{template-seal-navigation}}"],[[],[]]);initializeCookieConsentBanner("e");
