The Kogbold Flying Machine is a miniboss that is found in the Kogbold Steamworks. It guards the room in which the Factory Control Core resides.

The Kogbold Flying Machine is found in a small circular room right before the locked door to the Factory Control Core, which is lined with hazardous Steam Vents. When first approached, the Flying Machine will initiate combat after a short delay.
“I will not let you reach the core!”
In combat, the Flying Machine cycles randomly through the following attacks, switching between attacks on a timer or when enough damage is taken. It appears to gain some invulnerability if an excessive amount of damage is dealt to it in a short time.
Taunt: “I’ll run you down!”
The Flying Machine chases after the target while firing pairs of red waves and rings of slow mines that clutter the arena during the chase.
Taunt: “You think you can keep up with me?”
The Flying Machine charges in a straight line at the target, shooting flames perpendicular to its movement and leaving behind a trail of flames that deal continuous damage and inflict Armor Broken and Exposed. Every time it touches a wall, it will readjust its aim to the nearest target before charging again.
Taunt: “Missile Barrage!”
The Flying Machine becomes Armored and chases players while firing rings of turning gold waves and rapidly spawning Seeking Missiles that chase players. If a Missile gets close to a player, it will flash white before exploding into a ring of shots.
Taunt: “Spray and Pray!”
The Flying Machine moves to one end of the room and fires an oscillating barrage of slow red orbs in front of itself, while also firing spreads of waves behind itself to catch anyone hiding behind it. It will repeat this several times at different ends of the room.
Taunt: “Evasive Maneuvers!”
The Flying Machine circles around the room, firing spreads of red waves and rings of red arrowheads.
Upon its death, the door to the last chamber of the Kogbold Steamworks will open, granting access to the main boss of the dungeon.
In the Advanced Kogbold Steamworks, the Kogbold Flying Machine’s arena will have Steam Vents that activate on a timer, alternating between covering the outer and inner sections of the arena.
