Orbs (Rev. 24)

A Mystic uses her Orb to target an area, putting enemies into a status condition called Stasis. In Stasis any affected enemies turn gray and cannot attack or move, but cannot be damaged. Most orbs also inflict Curse within a wider radius of the targeted spot. Cursed enemies turn red and suffer an increase of 20% to all damage inflicted on them, applied after defense. The highest tiered Orbs grant Berserk to the Mystic.

All Orbs have a Stasis Radius of 3. A Mystic’s wisdom stat affects the power of her ability, with Curse Radius and Curse Duration both increasing with WIS. All Orbs that inflict curse have a Curse Radius of \begin{cases}5&\text{wis}<30\\5+\frac{\text{wis}}{30}&30\le\text{wis}\end{cases}. Stasis duration and range is not affected by this wisdom modifier. Other Orb effects are also modified with WIS (see table for details).

Most bosses are immune to Stasis, though their minions tend to be vulnerable. After a Stasis wears off, the enemy gains Stasis-immunity for a short time, thus chain Stasis is not possible. There is no such immunity against Curse. Some creatures can be affected by Stasis and Curse even when they are otherwise invincible.
