The Phylactery Bearer is a minion that is spawned when a Lich absorbs enough damage during evaluation. It is moderately powerful and tries to follow the Lich to heal it. After taking significant damage, it will turn invulnerable and move around erratically for a few seconds.

Do not be tricked that standing with the group that buffed the Lich will protect you - many new players have died fighting the Lich because of this.
Don’t stand in one place, or they will mob on you, and you will die. Dodge and weave the shots until the Lich is dead.
If you’ve maxed def, you obviously needn’t worry.
