Cuboid Matriarch

The Cuboid Matriarch is an enemy found in the The Third Dimension. It is the de facto leader of the Cuboids, and can square them to enhance their power.

Behavior

Chases players while alternating between firing single aimed square bolts, or radial bursts of Slowing squares that move back and forth.

At 50% HP, the Matriarch briefly goes invulnerable and summons one of the three Cuboid enemies at random. It then continues the previous pattern, but with an increased fire rate.

At 50% HP, there is also a random chance for the Matriarch to enter a “Cronus” state, signified by it turning pink. It is currently unknown if this Cronus state is actually functional or just aesthetic.

If any of the Cuboid enemies comes into close proximity with a Cuboid Matriarch, it will become squared, increasing its size and amplifying its attacks.
