Notes
A very interesting ability, this star grants neither Green Up Arrow Speedy when held down, nor shoots a high-damage missile when released.

Instead, when held down it shoots additional bullets with your weapon as it fires. The MP cost is consistent, regardless of how many shots you fire. Even if you fire no shots, MP is drained. When worn together with the Omamori and Shakujo, the shots are increased to four.

This star has two modes, Yin and Yang, which can be switched between by holding Shift.

  • Yin makes the scroll shoot bullets that converge about 5.25 tiles away, making this mode preferable for single target damage. This mode’s shot pattern is not significantly affected by the Omamori’s Divine Strike passive.

  • Yang has the bullets fan outwards in a small arc. This mode is preferable for crowd control, such as in the Godlands. For Omamori’s Divine Strike, the bullets are placed on the outside of the arc, making it cover a wider area. Since Yang does more damage per bullet, it is a better DPS option when you can sit on a boss.

It is recommended to have another star on hand, such as a Doom Circle, as this star does not grant speedy and is instead used purely for raw damage and set bonuses.

Do note, however that it will prevent you from regaining mana while held down unlike the other stars.
