Legend tells that when Malphas came to power and became the ruler of the Abyss of Demons, he ordered chunks of rock be mined from his abode. When the rocks were presented to him Malphas began carving an eye on one of the rocks, as well as cutting intricate shapes into the rocks, their spiky horns and wings had their ends heated, then fused to its body segment. Malphas then put the body segments in an enchanted-lava cauldron, giving it the gift of life. Malphas presented this cyclops dragon-snake to his master Oryx, who soon grew fond of Malphas's creation. He named it the Rock Dragon, and sent it off to terrorize the rebels. Nowadays it is one of Oryx's most dreaded commanders.
The Rock dragon is considered by players to be one of the hardest bosses of the game. This is due to it's large damage, rock bats and high speed. Majority of players who have faced the boss have died. Some have even tried alone. Majority of players wish for this boss to be downgraded, remove the rock bats, or even just to remove the rock dragon.

If you're an archer or huntress, try to paralyze the dragon and then you can destroy the body with ease (the eye can only shoot straight ahead). Still, you should keep a good distance because the body segment explodes for 150 damage per shot. One more tip is if you are a warrior use Juggernaut and for the time your armor has been doubled you will take only about 45 damage from the Rock Dragon.
The Lair of Draconis dungeon is not dropped as of build 14.1 but is planned on being dropped in future builds.
