The Rock Dragon is an event boss that spawns once per realm. It has a chance to drop a portal to the Lair of Draconis and a very low chance to drop the Ray Katana.
This event boss was released in Release 11.1.0, which was to drop the Lair of Draconis. However, the dungeon was incomplete and wasn’t implemented, but the Rock Dragon was still added to the game. This decision by the developers was met with controversy by many players due to the poor rewards and the high risk of fighting a Rock Dragon, which is required to close a realm.

If you’re an archer or huntress, try to paralyze the dragon and then you can destroy the body with ease (the eye can only shoot straight ahead). Still, you should keep a good distance because the body segment explodes for 150 damage per shot, instantly killing even maxed melee classes. One more tip is if you are a warrior use Juggernaut and for the time your armor has been doubled you will take only about 45 damage from the Rock Dragon.
The Lair of Draconis now drops from the Rock Dragon as of Release 22.4.0.
