The Rock Dragon is an event boss that spawns once realm. It drops the Ray Katana, and it has a chance to drop the entrance to the dungeon Lair of Draconis.
Hibernating for a millennia deep beneath the surface of the Realm, legends tell that the beast would awaken at the dawning of the new age. Those adventurers brave enough to have the rare opportunity of encountering this monstrosity had better have their wits about them. To defeat the beast, adventurers are going to have to ensure its complete obliteration; just going for the throat on this one might prove… futile. (Release 11)

The dragon is made up of a Body Segment Tail, multiple body segments, and the eye. The tail is always invulnerable. The eye is initially invulnerable, and the dragon will quickly dash around the arena while periodically shooting a burst of Fire Bust Shots from the eye. During this phase, the body segments are vulnerable. When destroyed, each body segment will flash for a few seconds and explode in a radial burst of Body Bomb Blasts. When every body segment is destroyed, the tail will disappear and the eye will transform. In this next phase, the eye will drift across the arena while shooting a radial burst of Dragon Eye Lasers and one Dragon Eye Blast. The eye is vulnerable during this entire phase. After a few seconds, the dragon will return to its initial phase if the eye has not been killed.

If you’re an archer or huntress, try to paralyze the dragon and then you can destroy the body with ease (the eye can only shoot straight ahead). Still, you should keep a good distance because the body segment explodes for 150 damage per shot, instantly killing even maxed melee classes. One more tip is if you are a warrior use Juggernaut and for the time your armor has been doubled you will take only about 45 damage from the Rock Dragon.
Note: The quest will show up as “Eye of the Dragon” instead of “Rock Dragon”
