Note:

1. The damage dealt by abilities or damage dealt while boosted is not accounted for here. For example, warrior, paladin and mystic are often boosted when shooting things, while wizard and knight often rely on their abilities for high instant damage.
2. This assumes that all shots fired hit. This is very important, especially when considering bow classes, which often use spread weapons.
3. This assumes DPS against a single target. Many weapons can hit multiple targets which can increase true DPS significantly.
4. This list only includes values for DPS against a 0 defense monster and a 20 defense one. Going beyond and before 20 defense some classes become better than others

Key:

• SPS = shots per second, rounded to 2 decimals.
• ADS = average damage per one shot against an enemy with 0 defense.
• DPS = damage per second against an enemy with 0 defense.
• DPS20 = damage per second against an enemy with 20 defense, the common defense of gods and dungeon bosses.

The DPS is calculated by assuming the character is fully maxed in ATT and DEX, is wearing no ring, and is wearing their Tier 13 armor and Tier 6 Ability. This gives an idea of the general DPS the class is capable of. For even more values see dexterity versus attack and class comparisons.

Tier 12 weapons are the “benchmark” for each class; alternative weapons will be marked below the respective class. All figures listed are rounded down.

To put it into simple terms, the highest DPS you can achieve in the whole game is a Wizard with a Staff of Extreme Prejudice.
